Toxic Odor included with your Purchase

My review is concerning the smell packet that Pamoca put in the box with the Skins. I can not keep these skins. I washed the very cool container and bag they came with. First soaking in water and soap and rinsing in Vinegar then all day in the sun at 8000' It will still gag ya. The skins spent the day in the sun too. They are no better. I can't imagine why they would create a solid product then ruin it with an odor that will give you a head ache and ruin your other gear. I could never put them in my pack as it would all be ruined by this sick smell. Let alone use the box for my lunch. I think the obsession with smells is toxic for sure. I do not recommend anyone with any chemical sensitivity even consider this product.

Everything about these skins are fantastic.

These are the best skins Ive used yet. When I was looking for new skins, I asked all my friends which they preferred and they almost unanimously all suggested the pomoca climb 2.0 skins. They had very few glue issues, the glide and grip are both great, the weight is low, and they don't soak/stick often. They are easy to attach and remove, and while I have no had any problems with the tip or tail attachment, solutions are out there to improve them if needed. My experience has been great and they provide the right amount of grip and glide and don't add a huge noticeable amount of weight to the skis or in the pack. They also smell oddly great. I'm not sure whatever scent they put on these things but its wonderful. They have lasted a full season with me so far with zero complaints. They still stick to my skis and pull off cleanly like they were new. I would 100% order these again if needed.

Agree with the Sick Smell

I wanted to try this brand because of all the good reviews. Wish I hadn't. There's some sort of air freshener packet in the skin box that is awful. By the printing on the packet, it seems that Pomoca wants you to believe the smell should remind one of fresh powder, but really, it smells like the inside of a dryer sheet box. As another reviewer has already said, the smell permeates the skins and also the included skin carry bag, and will not go away even after repeated washings. The carry bag is also weird and rather useless--it is wider than tall and It has a flap on the top, but no Velcro to secure it, and the backside has a big elastic loop with unknown function (to loop around one's skis; one's forearm?). They should stick to bags with handles and make sure to include Velcro closures. Now I have to source a carry bag! I'm going to stick with Black Diamond skins for the rest of my family.

These skins have an awful odor.

Bought these skins today. This is the third time i have bought Pomoca skins. They are light, glide and grip well and fold down small in your pack. My only complaint is that Pomoca has started putting a little scented bag in the box. This scented bag is disgusting. As I am writing this review the stench is permeating my home. It is on my hands and in the air. Why is Pomoca doing this? I hope the folks at REI pass this on to Pomoca. PLEASE
