Great SMALLER blanket

This is a great blanket -- when I saw it marked down I immediately ordered it as I'd been eyeing the Rumpl blankets. Giving this 4 stars because before markdown, the price of the half-size travel blanket is as much as some of the full-size Rumpl blankets. My own fault for not paying cloer attention, but if I had realized it was HALF as big as the other blankets, I would have bought the bigger blanket!

This was nice at first and very warm for its weight, but one machine-washing per instructions caused the fill material to clump and migrate, resulting in a an uneven distribution of the insulation. I tried to fix it without much success and finally contacted Rumpl for advice. They replied this was a known problem with some of the travel blankets and they are working to improve the product. Sadly it's too late for my travel blanket, which is now used as a pillow. (We like our other original Rumpl blankets and they are holding up well after several years and washings.)

Original Rumple Travel blanket

I received my yellow travel rumple 3 years ago for my birthday from my daughters. We’ve all made use of it on many trips, Denali, Alaska, Banff Canada, Yosemite, Crater Lake & Mt Ranier. I’d love to buy one for each of my girls, but I don’t love the current color choices. Could you PLEASE make some travel blankets in bright bold single colors (orange, bright green, bright blue). These would really pop in pictures as my yellow one does.

Not Even a Month of Ownership & Already Falling Apart

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE this blanket - in fact I loved my large one so much I decided to buy this travel one. Well, not even a month of ownership and the red stitching is coming apart from the blanket in three locations. I haven't even washed it or traveled with it yet!! This is just from lounging on the couch. Very disappointing because they are not cheap. I emailed the company with photos so we'll see what they are willing to do. Their customer service was excellent when I had to contact them about shipping a while back.

Cute, giftable and warm. Great functional design.

After spending time on a number of international flights, i came across small economy blankets on my seat made to be used as sort of a disposable comfort tool on a plane. I never liked the idea of disposable goods. That's where this blanket comes in. It is about the same size blanket found on international airlines. It is a perfectly packable given it's smol size and compression sack. The carabiner tie of point and the neck since are useful extra touches After looking at the design, it seems like it would even be easy to repair yourself if holes became a issue. I may invest in more of Rumpls blankets down the down line for gifts and full time bed use depending on how this one holds up.

Nice size; iffy construction + kind of overpriced

This packs down really well and is all I need, at a diagonal, for temps around 70. I used a small compression sack -- not the sleeve it came in. Glad it's not single use plastic, but it's still plastic and not the most useful. I think the stitching is sloppy and it's pretty overpriced for a synth throw with no real technical additions and no rating to speak of, but if the brand backs it that could be worth something. My kid loves it and it's a perfect size for her (6 yrs). At nearly $100, though, the loose threads are not confidence inspiring, and I don't like thinking about sweat shops and child labor when I see them.

Big Sur Savior

This blanket hugged me on the windy beaches of HWY 1, gave me padding for a roadside lunch on the Big Sur river and comforted me on the plane rides to and fro. Folds up back into its bag with ease. Fantastic size and fit into my backpack without being a bother. Big fan of this workhorse!

Filling disintegrated after 1 wash

This is a nicely compact, silky-feel, beautiful blanket that made for a great car throw. We loved it for the very few uses we had it until the first time we washed it (according to the instructions). When it came out of the wash, it felt like only 2 pieces of fabric sewed together without a filling. When holding it up to the light, most of the filling was gone and what was left took up a very small portion of the square it was in. It no longer felt the same, was no longer warm, and left us with the biggest purchase regret we've had in a long time.

Airplane and hotel comforts

I love how this is small, lightweight, and can clip around your neck to keep in place on an airplane. I was able to wrap this around my upper half and then use the airplane blanket on my lower half. It was used on all of my flights for work trip and was an added layer of comfort. It was also great as an extra layer in the hotel when I was cold or wanting to just relax in my clothes without getting under the covers. I’ll definitely be carrying this on all of my travels.

The Best Travel Blanket!

I bought this to use during my medical treatments since it’s cold at the clinic. It’s absolutely perfect! It makes me a lot more comfortable. I like that it’s warm yet light weight, just the right size, soft, sturdy, easily packable, a pretty color, and environmentally friendly. It gets better the more you use it. I will take it everywhere. This would be a perfect present for anyone undergoing medical treatment or who travels or even at home. I liked it so much I bought the original full size blanket for myself and one for a present. You can’t go wrong. The only problem I have is that my dog likes it as much as I do!
