We took our beloved hiking shirt and "winterized" it to create the women's REI Co-op Sahara Thermal shirt. It uses hollow-core yarn for lightweight warmth that wicks away sweat and dries quickly.

Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

My New Fav!
Got this shirt and I can already feel it will become quickly become a favorite. I love the throwback vintage pattern, but the fade gives it a modern look. It’s a nice 3 season weight, but actually could be used as a light jacket for the summertime too. The loop for shades is a nice touch as is the interior secure mesh storage pocket along side steam. The fit is tailored, but not tight and the sculpted cuffs provide good sun protection for the top of your hands. All of this makes is just about the perfect shirt, but being a blue sign product puts it over the top.
Great 3 season shirt!
I typically hike and bike in long sleeve button down shirts and this shirt will be perfect for both! While I haven’t worn it yet in cooler temps, I think it will be great for hiking and biking in the spring and fall, especially in the morning when it’s chilly. The fabric has a nice feel too it, not quite flannel but definitely heavy enough to add warmth. Love the feature of the eye glass loop on the chest although it may not be accessible when wearing a pack with a sternum strap. Has a nice tiny pocket on the side seam, but not sure what would fit in it. Lip balm maybe? The fit is spot on for me; roomy enough over a base layer, not too long and enough room to go over the hips.
Great shirt for the trail, campfire or casual wear
Stylish, warm, comfortable! Wear this alone or over another shirt for added warmth. The shirt stretches a little, so it's easy for the active hiker or for other activities. Front and side pockets and a loop for sunglasses provide room for trail necessities. The sleeve cuffs come down over the hands for added warmth and sun protection, so the shirt is versatile, functional and looks great for casual wear. As an added bonus, the materials are bluesign approved to protect the environment and you. The fabric is polyester, nylon and spandex and has sun protection – it wicks moisture, dries quickly and protects against UV light. Highly recommend for outdoor activities and casual wear!
Great shirt for summer hiking
This shirt has a great fit. Slightly heavier cut fabric with a smooth feel. It is wrinkle resistant with a somewhat stiffer collar than a flannel. The cuffs are nice and hold shape wells when folded up if you run on the shorter side like I do or just like to roll up your sleeves. Has a little stretch/give for movement. Really enjoyed wearing this shirt on some early morning hikes and even out to dinner in the Sierras.
Great all over shirt
I wore this shirt for everything. From work to hiking.. great for everything. It is soft and comfortable.
Pleasantly Surprised
I have been pleasantly surprised with this shirt. I'm not much of a fan of plaid shirts, but this one is growing on me. I like how this one looks, and it has so many color variations in it that it goes with most things. I was also skeptical about the 'thermal' qualities because the material feels too thin to add much warmth but it definitely seems to have some thermal ability. Makes a good second layer for extra warmth inside.
Runs a bit on the larger side
I really like the shirt, it's warm, not bulky, and great design, but I really wish the fit can be on the smaller side.
Curvy flannel
This has a very flattering fit and is surprisingly warm.
Great Outdoor Shirt
Purchased two of the shirts, in different colors. They are true to size, nice, heavy weight fabric, and so very comfortable. Also very well made. The hidden side pocket was perfect for keys. I very much like the way the sleeve cuff is styled. It covers the top of the hand. Wore one shirt on a cool morning and it provided warmth and flexibility. I would buy again.

Well made, medium weight fabric, nice fit. I usually buy L but M was a better fit. Sometimes shirt sleeves arent long enough or too short waisted, no shrinkage wash and wear, wrinkle free.
