Perfect travel bag for three week European trip.

Through six countries, on planes, trains, taxis and on foot, this duffle performed without a problem. Mine is an older version, but similar to the current one. It's basically one big compartment with a couple of small pockets, but with packing cubes, it stayed organized and carried the weight well. When other travelers were asked to put their wheeled bags "in the hold" I was waved on through carrying my bag by one of it's four handles. Hint: don't try to carry it through a crowded plane with dangling backpack straps - just tuck them away before boarding.

Tougher bag I've owned

I've had this bag for just over 5 years now and it's still in perfection condition. In those 5 years the Transporter has been my go to carry on for over 26 flights and also as my daily gym bag. It takes a beating and not a single tear in it. If you're considering this bag it would be great as a daily gym bag, weekend trip bag, or for those looking for a casual bag to tote some cash to the local titter… it will hold a sold 15k in singles

Excellent, no-frills backpack duffel

I bought this and immediately took it on a 3 week trip. Through trains, planes, and automobiles between 7 different stays, the bag held up great. It's very light on features, but I appreciate that because I feel safer knowing there aren't loads of zippers for pickpockets to tug on. I haven't had it in much rain yet but the fabric makes me optimistic that it should hold up well if the seams don't leak. The straps are comfy enough; given the lack of a ventilated back panel or hip belt, this bag isn't made to be rucked for miles.

Huge fan of this bag. No laptop sleeve.

This is a space-efficient, comfortable, and durable carry-on bag. It has no extraneous pockets so it caan take a lot of packing cubes and still fit easily in the overhead compartment (no pink tag ever). For me personally I need a second bag to carry my laptop.

Great bag but needs a duffel strap.

Great bag, super durable and spacious. Love the backpack straps but I feel it should have a normal duffel strap included as well. I’ve done some searching around and can’t find a black strap from Osprey that can be bought separately.

love this bag

used it for a 15 day trip along with another carry on bag and it was more than perfect I packed enough for 7 days in this one and left some room for souvenirs etc and I still had room for more coming back it fits perfectly on the over head airplane compartment and had no issues on any airline using it as a personal item, material it's water resistant and easy to fold bend it doesn't have that hard back like other backpacks that are hard to fit sometimes or squeeze into compartments, only detail missing for me its side pockets for water bottle but i bought some snap hooks attached to front and worked fine

Great everyday/weekend pack. It fits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great everyday/weekend pack. It fits everything I need, is easy to transport, and keeps everything dry, as I recently experienced during a tropical storm. As a duffel, it is very easy, and "pack-n-go." When I convert it into a backpack, I need to remain cognizant of how the contents are placed because since there is no back support, items will collapse and drag in the back. For me (I'm 5'6), the pack as a backpack turns into a "C" shape, with the top of the "C" touching my shoulders and the bottom of the "C" resting entirely on my buttocks. However, I am NOT suggesting that the pack should have a back support because I think it would ruin the versatility of the pack itself. I rate this pack 4.5 stars.

Nice, but Irritating

I liked the size and the weather protection as well as the ability to change to a backpack. I used this as my carry on 'stuff' bag because my other carryon was a very full camera bag. I also used this everyday in Alaska while I was dropping and adding back layers of clothes. What drove me crazy was having to change back and forth between the little end pouch where I stashed my small stuff to the main compartment opening where I needed to grab or put away a jacket. I honestly thought mine was put together backwards until I looked again at the website.

The pack its self feels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pack its self feels tuff and capable. I have been using for 2 works as my everyday work bag (medical). The carrying straps are robust and much more comfortable then the older addition of this bag, which where uncomfortable enough that I simply carried it with a duffel strap. I would give this bag 5 stars, but there is one downside to this bag. In the previous model there was a great side pocket on the outside that was wonderful for organization. For smaller items I want kept separate this was a Boone. Overall great pack.

Absolute 5/5 - Highly Recommend

The bag is absolutely awesome! My primary use for this bag is as an airplane carry-on, and it fits everything I would need for a 2-5 day trip. The backpack straps that stow away are the G.O.A.T. I wouldn't consider this bag to UL for the capacity, but I don't believe that is the intent. The material is a thick, durable, water resistant, and I believe will be my primary carry-on for the next decade. I first got introduced to Osprey back in '12 when I bought my first Aether 70 pack (which I still use and has ~80-100 weeks in the field and still going strong), and the Transporter series has me stoked about Osprey over other comparable companies. Highly recommend, and at the price point the value is there. Have a traveller or outdoor enthusiast in your life? This pack would make an excellent gift.
