Great travel bag.
So I was looking for a good travel bag with plenty of room but that I could fit in an overhead airplane bin. It so happens that I received a great bag for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. The bag is a good fit for getting around. The backpack straps hide away nicely when needed. It doesn't come with a separate shoulder strap but has the loops to clip one on. The interior compartments are nice where they can all be opened to get bigger items in, like a climbing rope. Nice pocket for sunglasses. Definitely would recommend.
Versatile duffel bag
Well designed duffel bag that can be adjusted to fit your needs. It has internal dividers effectively turning it into two 35 L sections with a zipper down the middle of the bag so you can open it in half (revealing the two sectioned off portions). Alternatively, you can roll up the internal mesh dividers, creating one large duffel bag, which can be accessed from a top opening flap. There’s one external pocket large enough for keys, wallet, and a cell phone. There’s a small side vent and backpack straps that are stowed in the top flap. It could also be carried by hand by one of the three padded external handles.
Versatile Travel Bag
I’ve used this bag on a few recent trips and it’s fantastic! It has several zip-up compartments that help keep your gear and clothing organized. When it comes to carrying it, you have options: you can use it as a duffle or wear it as a backpack. The backpack straps are comfortable and weight-bearing, and you can tuck them away when you don’t need them. The material is water-resistant and feels super durable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this bag to a friend.
The dark knight to rule all other bags
Wow, this new bag from Osprey is really, really good. I have taken it on camping trips, skiing, and as my carry-on for flights (yes, it fits great in the overhead bin!). Even though it sized at a 70L I find it packs/carrys more like a 50-60L bag which I really like. The material used is a perfect combination of burly yet not too heavy. Osprey aced this. The thing that blew my mind was how it has sections like a hard-sided roller luggage but is, at its core, a duffel. This allows for impeccable organization, and I am still dialing in how I best like to organize my gear when using this bag. Lastly, the integrated straps for backpack conversion really make this one-bag-does-all bag. From backpacking in Europe to weekend flights, camping, and skiing, this is my new go-to.
Great travel duffel!
This is a great travel backpack- lots of compartments that I want in luggage. It is not for backpacking. Just keep in mind that it is pretty large when fully packed, and may not fit in a carry on for some airlines. Pros: Backpack carry option: Comfortable, stowable backpack straps and chest strap make it easy to carry even when fully packed. Additional handles to haul it even when the straps are stowed. High quality and durable material. Definitely abrasion and water resistant Several zippered compartments to keep things organized. Cons: No hip strap/internal frame for support: When fully loaded, it can feel saggy or awkward on the back—especially during long carries. Overall, I highly recommend this travel duffel/backpack! I traveled for almost 2 weeks in Europe with this backpack and it still looks brand new. Great quality and love the compartments!
No more digging though gigantic duffel bags.
I didn't know I needed this bag. I've used and currently own a bunch of durable duffel bags from other big brands, but unless I'm on a specific type of trip, they mostly stay in storage because they are formless tubes that are abrasion and water resistant (basically, I use them to keep gear semi-protected while traveling). The rest of the year, those bags stay collapsed in storage or repurposed for other things. The extra structure and the well thought out compartments and pockets that make this bag a "squffel" really make a huge difference in its usability. I've now used it a handful of times to travel and it's so versatile and lends itself to having so much usable and organized space. No more digging around a single gigantic duffel looking for specific things. Love that it's made by osprey, the materials and build construction are as good as my other osprey bags, and their warranty is always an added bonus. I liked this enough that I went and picked up the smaller squffel to use as a carry-on/weekend bag.
Functional, durable and light weight
Surprisingly light weight for as sturdy and the amount of storage available. It has plenty of compartments for storing items in separate areas. Very functional and durable. Can wear it as a back pack or hold the handle and carry it. This is my new travel back pack.
My beloved!!
I thought I owned the best Osprey travel product ever, the Daylite 26+6, until I got this bag. This is duffel of my dreams — it balances the capacity of a big ol’ bag with the organization of a kitted-out suitcase. I love to be organized while I travel, but being able to haphazardly toss my stuff into a bag at the last second is also a must, and this bag makes it all work. You’ll never have to unzip and rezip fifty packing cubes while everyone else in the tent is trying to sleep again! The pictures attached to my review are from a skiing trip I took with this bag. I devoted the top half of the bag, which is accessible without unzipping the middle section, to clothes and toiletries, and the bottom section to my ski gear, including my ski boots, helmet, bibs, shell, etc. I literally only had to carry one bag and my skis in from the car! My hands were so free! Osprey seriously thought of everything with this duffel. The organization system was so thoughtfully designed. The backpack straps even have load adjusters! If you can’t tell, I literally get excited to pack this bag because I know it’s going to hold all my junk AND be a breeze to organize. Thank you, Osprey, for this beautiful design.
Versatile Water Proof Duffel
Super durable travel duffel that is extremely versatile. The big has carry handle but also has backpack straps and other grab handles, allowing you to carry it in a variety of ways. This also makes easy lifting when it is full of gear and it holds a ton of gear! The 70L bag is lightweight for its size and has plenty of storage compartments inside to keep things organized and neat. The bag is water resistant and that was proven as it was put through its paces in rainy Washington.
Great pack!
Delivery was super quick. Quality is excellent as always and the duffel packs more than you think. Love the clamshell-style opening as it really lets you organise things. Looking forward to taking it on my trip to Chamonix this July!
