Care Instructions not in English
Love the shirt, color, fit, and fabric. my only true complaint, living in the United States I speak, read, write English. I would appreciate "washing/care instructions" on shirt as expensive as this to be in English.
Very soft, noticeable quality
Okay, I wear flannel shirts for about six months each year and I’ve gone through a lot of major brands. I actually really like the REI brand ones, but the thickness of the material of these shirts as well as how overall soft they are really stood out to me, so I grabbed a couple of them. A bit of warning, I am a broad-shouldered dude that normally wears a large, but I had to get an XL because of how tight the backs of the shoulders were, so I would say they trend to run a little bit small. One thing that I admittedly didn’t notice or care about but thought it was neat enough to mention: Patagonia is apparently supporting people who are currently trying to go organic. Unfortunately you cannot just declare yourself organic, there is a 3 year period of no chemical pesticide use before you are declared “organic” by the USDA. Patagonia is sourcing their cotton from people who are within that 3 year period, supporting them with what is essentially organic cotton, which is REALLY helping out the small farmers that are trying to do so.
Favorite Flannels
These are my favorite flannels I’ve ever worn. The material is soft and comfortable to the touch. Holds up to consistently wearing after many years. Like that the bottom hem is straight cut, so wearing untucked looks clean & purposed. I’ve purchased four of these through the years and can usually get around 6 years of wear from them until my boney elbows wear a hole in the sleeves. Have patch, no problem. Not the product’s quality that’s an issue. I wear these things pretty roughly for working and playing. A grab a new one every few years whenever a new color grabs my attention and even find them 2nd hand when possible. Recommend starting a collection today.
Love it
Just perfect soft fits just right looks great
Love Patagonia worth it
It’s Patagonia only good things can be said.
Excellent flannel shirts ❤️
I live in NC and own a four of these in the women’s version and wear the heck out of them when the weather dips down. Two I’ve had for over 8 years, the other two within the last 3. So when my high school son wanted flannel shirts I knew exactly which brand to go to. I bought him the Obsidian Plum, Guide Green, and Superior Blue. Beautiful rich colors, nice thick weight and a softness that you expect in flannel. Fit and sleeve length is true to size. Even after multiple washings they never don’t and look and feel exactly as the first day I bought them. The material holds up to his Scout adventures, camping and rough housing while still looking great over the matching Patagonia Henleys for school. The price is on the high side, it’s really good quality flannel after all (but not as high as some other popular brands that loose their color, shrink or fall apart in a year). These really will hold up and last you for many years. Nobody does flannel better than Patagonia IMO. If you are looking for a less expensive alternative, I have found REI brand makes their Wallace lake version which is a very good option and the closest to Patagonia that I have found.
mid-weight Fjord Flannel Review
Great shirt, unfortunately seemed to run a bit small and shrunk even more upon washing. XL is closer to a large in size
Men’s Patagonia plaid flannel shirt
Considering the price of this Patagonia flannel shirt, I would expect the plaids on the side seams to match, but alas, they are easily 2 inches off! It looks terrible!!!
Not a True "Large" Fit-not "relaxed"
This shirt is not a "relaxed fit" as Patagonia advertises! My wife bought 2 of these shirts for me. I wear a size Large in several different manufacturer's brands. My 10yr old Patagonia flannel shirts are Large and still fit. The patagonia website says these are a "relaxed fit"-they are too tight across my chest and shoulders and really should be classed as a slim fit. We returned the shirts and I've purchased another brand-in large-for a 1/3 the price that fit "relaxed". Really disappointed in this Patagonia product, I expected better.
Really nice, but…
Got the green version, looks nice, feels nice, good weight. Only down side is the sides. The bottom is straight all the away around, maybe good for tucking in or hiking to maintain warmth? Looking stylish however, (and believe me I have a low bar for being “stylish”) its a bit awkward.
