Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Poor quality, worse than Teton 1.0
I have worn the pants just a few times before discovering a 5-cm tear along the seams below the waistband, along with a thumb-size hole. I use the pants for loungewear, so no extreme motion or external force was applied to the pants prior to discovering the tear. This has never happened to my Teton 1.0 fleece pants, which I have worn frequently for three years. The fabric of the Teton 2.0 pants also feels cheaper than the 1.0—plastic-like and more prone to thinning. While I appreciate that the Teton 2.0 pants are made by recycled material, I wish the quality wasn't compromised as a result.
Seem to run small
I would definitely recommend sizing up for most people. I am 5'1, 120-125lbs, and have a small waist but muscular thighs and slightly curvy hips. I ordered a small (from REI used) and they are juuuust a little tight in the hips; I can still fit them over a base layer, but I have not yet put this combo to the test in the outdoors. I will be highly considering buying a medium as well. These pants are also roughly two inches too long for my height; just something to keep in mind for my fellow vertically challenged friends. I am considering just purchasing the regular length in the future and having them hemmed to my specific height. Overall, a quality product though.
Not 5 star pants
I would have given these a 5 if the waist was not so tight. I weigh 103 lbs, normally wear an XS/size 2, and am slender through the waist and hips. I think the model for these pants was a 13 yr old girl (?!) These pants fit fine throughout the hip and legs, but the waist is somewhat snug and does not allow for adjustment -- don't understand why there is even a toggle. There is no give because of the way the material is sewn making it somewhat difficult, a tight squeeze, to get these pants on and off. I am considering returning these pants. The next size up would most likely be too baggy throughout the hips.
comfy legs & seat but tight drawcord waist
Legs & seat of these pants are 5-star: so comfortable, soft, warm, and cut well so no drafts & not baggy or tight. The waist was 2-star: way too tight due to a very snug bungee-type drawcord that made them hard to pull on & uncomfortable to wear. I'm 5'1"/105 lbs who wears petite 2 in pants, so I started with the petite XS but waist was tight. Then I tried petite S, and the waist was great but everything else was way too big. I ended up keeping the petite XS & cutting off the drawcord; problem solved! The waist fits great without drawcord. Now I have very soft, warm, comfortable pants that look great & feel great. I recommend REI either get rid of the drawcord or make the cord longer so it is not so tight.
Sizing help
I have a 30in inseam and this length is perfect so the hems don't drag on the floor. The most important detail with the sizing is that the waistband has very little stretch to it. The size small pants fit well once on, but I had to fight to get them over my modest hips/bum, and I don't want to deal with that on an upcoming backpacking trip. I went with a medium in the end with the pants only a tiny bit looser than I would like, but I don't really plan on wearing these out on the town anyway. My takeaway, these are best tried on in the store if you have the option.
So soft and cozy
Love these super soft fleece pants! Perfect for staying cozy at home but fine to wear out too. Fleece keeps me warm but lightweight enough not to be bulky or too warm. Appreciate petite sizing. I’m 5’1” and about 115 lb—size Small Petite fits well. Waist is fine too despite other reviews saying it was too tight. In previous pant version the interior waist toggle was uncomfortable and unnecessary so I cut it off and tied the elastic string together. This model’s exterior toggle also seems unnecessary but at least it’s not uncomfortable so I have left it for now. If wearing a more sheer shirt the toggle may make an unsightly bulge so I may cut it off later. My only request would be for more colors in the future.
Too cramped in the hips and thighs
I am disappointed these didn't work for me! It's hard to find petite sizing in outdoor clothing, so I had high hopes for these. I bought them primarily to layer over thermal bottoms with rain pants over them for cold water kayaking. Unfortunately, the Medium didn't give enough in the thighs for the layering and the Large was too large. If I wasn't layering, they would be nice on their own. I am 5'1, 140 pounds, curvy. I would recommend to someone but would encourage trying them on and considering use. I will return and keep looking.
Not what I hoped for
I grabbed these on one of my rare in-store visits (nearest store an hour away). I always wear size small, they looked right, so I didn't take the time to try them on. Should've known better. The fit is quite close to the body-fine if you want to wear them under a shell. The material is nice and soft, but they have very little stretch, so they bind around the knees and behind, making them less useful for hiking or snowshoeing. The waist is not very stretchy either, so they're hard to get on over the hips (and I'm a pretty slender build). They look nice, but I didn't buy them for looks, I bought them for active use. They might be ok for xc skiing, so I haven't decided if I'll keep them or set them aside until I can get to the store again for a return and maybe try on the medium.
A+ Toasty Legs
These things have been a game-changer, and quickly became my cozy alternative to sweats/flannel pajama pants. They work great keeping my lower body warm in cold-weather hammock camping/backpacking as well— Which is the reason I initially bought them. I love the zipper pockets. Though I will say these do follow the general pattern I notice with outdoor brands’ women’s cuts having very narrow legs in comparison to the waist band. I don’t have quite enough room in the legs of a size large, but the waist is a little silly huge on me in the XL (even with the drawstring taken into consideration).
Sizing is not quite right
I purchased a size petite medium. I usually wear a size 8-10. The waist was a bit snug to pull over my hips and has minimal stretch. Once its on my waist its fine but I found the legs to be a bit fitting. It would be fine if the fabric had more stretch to it. I returned and bought a petite large, thinking I will be fine with a slightly looser fit. However the hips and butt area are too baggy and the legs area fit fine. I like the warmth but neither fit is great.
