This product was awesome at first. Warm and comfortable and hides rocks. On my last pack trip neither cell would hold air the entire night. It made for an uncomfortable trip and I am disappointed based on how much I paid for this pad. I am still searching for the source of the leaks, but I suspect the valves since the pad has been carefully cared for and not placed on rough surfaces. I can't have an expensive pad that I cannot count on!
I used the Comfort Plus for over 6 years inflated and deflated this pad well over 200 times in the Boundary Waters and Quetico... In time the pad gave out not unlike any other inflated pad... I patched it twice. No issues... But gave me many, many nights of comfortable rest. Yes. This pad is heavier than others. Still. This one inflates and deflates easily is roomy enough for me and my Jack Russel puppy... :) It has two inflated sides. So if by chance one fails -you always have the other side to get you by. It's worth the money and weight.
I slept on this in the BWCA for 5 nights. Two other people in my group went cheap on their sleeping pads and they popped the first night out. I was comfortable and warm each night, and they froze their butts off and cursed themselves for going cheap. This was our first time ever visiting the BWCA and my first time ever camping in what I would call an extreme way. One of the many things we learned was just how important your sleep system is. I can't praise this mat enough. I slept great for all but one night, and the one night I didn't was because I was too hot in my bivy bag and I couldn't vent it because of the mosquitoes. This had nothing to do with the pad.
This is the most comfortable pad I have used. I can sleep on my side, back or stomach! The stuff sack doubles to inflate the pad and it's insanely easy and fast. It packs up very quickly in the morning and is very easy to get all the air out in one go. I love this pad. It is a bit wide, so its snug in our 2P backpacking tents but thats what makes it so comfy as well. It's heavier than most pads but that's a trade off I'll make any day. Sleep is so important to me in the backcountry, I'll carry a little extra to be well rested.
I loved the pad and how comfy it is and thick , but it only lasted two days before the bottom layer began to loose air, luckily the second layer prevented me from sleeping on the ground but, before this I had a thermarest that lasted me 5 years of many big walls, backpacking trips and sleeping on it for 14 days in a row for work. Disappointed my comfort deluxe plus didn’t even make it 2 days especially for the price.
Absolutely the most comfortable pad I’ve ever had. Love how small it packs down for our canoe tripping. I got the large and it’s wonderful. The dual layer is phenomenal allowing personalized adjustments for the ground and your comfort. Can’t say enough good things about this pad. Have used it three years in a row now, for our summer excursions. Fantastic.
Needed a mat that wouldn't consume a lot of room in the duffel. I recently used this on a 7 day bicycle tour and I must say this is a very comfortable sleeping mat. An added bonus is the pump sack which conveniently stores the mat as well. Quick filling and easy storage make this a must have for anyones' trip.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this thing is very warm, very comfortable. The stuff sack inflator is not easy to use. the pad is very easy to blow up with your mouth. I am plannig to buy a compression sack for this, I am pretty sure i can get it to pack down smaller
Used mine for the first time on a turkey hunt in WI in May. Very light and warm. Love the two chamber design so I don't need to worry about leaks. Great design on the bag pump. Obviously a first run, but it was great.
Received this pad and so far I’m impressed with it. Not much noise when moving around on it and very comfortable. Have not tried it out yet in the cold. Good quality construction. Packs small.
