Pretty awesome little boat
Been kayaking/canoeing/rafting my whole life, new to the ducky thing, bought two for the kids. This boat can do it, maneuverable and responsive, the rocker is perfect. Solid class III is the most it’s been on, way fun ride. Seat has issues with straps getting loose and it needs a lower back, even a short vest hits the top of the seat. Foot braces work well and haven’t tried the thigh straps. Blow it up tight and it’ll go through the water like a knife.
I love this IK
Love this IK. I have paddled a hard shell C-1 for 50+ years, but a shoulder injury means I can no longer roll with re-injuring my shoulder. I bought this so I could be more stable and not be tempted to try and roll. It was so much fun! My first trip was the class 2-3 North Santiam east of Salem OR. I was surfing waves and catching eddies with ease. I am 6 foot 3 inches, 225 pounds, and had no issues with comfort. I would recommend this IK.
Good kayak but flimsy seat.
The kayak is very solid, inflates easily and performs well on the river. Good thigh straps and foot pegs. However, the seat is flimsy. It would be better with inflatable thwarts.
