Beautiful but not practical
I was so excited for this beautiful set.. bought mugs, bowls and plates! We started traveling in an RV full time, so they were perfect. Unfortunately after using them for about a month, we noticed that the bronze finish was coming off. We have been hand washing them (no dishwasher in RV) and just using dawn dish detergent. Such a bummer because now everything doesn’t match any more. Also, the mugs are super super hot on the outside when you are drinking hot coffee and tea. Barely can touch it.. probably would burn a kids hands. Won’t return the set but really disappointed.. especially for a camping brand.
Disappointing quality
It's a mug that forgot how to mug. I bought this a little over a year ago for a camping trip. Unfortunately it's only been used and washed once since. I noticed today that the handle is nearly completely rusted off. The second mug is in much better condition but I still see rust forming where the handle meets the cup. Living in a dry region of CO, I'm shocked that it's deteriorated like this. I would look elsewhere for a reliable camp mug.
Gorgeous, functional, fabulous!
I ordered these on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend and they were waiting for me at the post office on Tuesday! They are even more beautiful in person. We tested them out with some cocoa this evening and I love them even more. The metal lip take a little getting used to, but its fine. The handle stayed cool enough for me to hold, which is amazing because my hands are very heat sensitive. I looked up the company and they seem amazing and have a lot of beautiful things. And seriously, they are gorgeous! I can't wait to take them camping this summer!
Low quality finish
Nice look and finish but not good quality, rim finish started falling after first wash and small spot of rust started showing.
Quality
The surface finish on these mugs is not smooth making cleaning slightly more difficult. The surface finish feels like 600 or 800-grit sandpaper, in a pinch I could use it for a fine nail file. The rim of these mugs is not made well, you can use your fingernail and catch the bronze-colored rim both on the inside and outside of the mug providing ample space for grime to build up. Thankfully these mugs aren't expensive.
Minty. Four Place Setting For Car Camping.
Bought a four place setting. Works great car camping. Wanted to upgrade from a cheapie set. Also bought four TOAKS Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery Sets to go with. Did not stain from strong Starbucks french pressed coffee. Did not scrape from spoon either. Kudos Barebones.
Nice set of cups
Nice set of coffee cups, be careful with super hot liquids handles warm up
Handles not insulated
The handles are not insulated and were too hot to touch to drink my morning coffee. Frustrating, they are going back to REI.
Reliable and dependable cups
Simple and reliable cups, we use them for hot and cold beverages along with snacks! They hold up to washing of all sorts, and they don't seem any worse for wear after we've banged them around in the cabinets over the past 12,000+ miles.
Great mugs for car camping
These mugs are great. The handles remain cool even when you fill the cup with hot liquids. The only draw back is that they do not nest in anyway and end up eating up a lot of room in our camping totes.
