Great for City Riding

I was looking for pedals for my commuter that would work with proper office shoes (the kind with hard leather soles). Leather soles have no grip on standard metal or plastic pedals so my feet wouldn’t stay on the pedals. I didn’t want to deal with toe straps and I didn’t want to carry extra shoes all the time. These, with a unique large rubber vibram platform, are perfect. Grippy over rough city streets no matter what shoes I wear. Very happy with these pedals.

A Gripe about Grip.

Nice quality pedals-typical Look quality. However, I have one gripe. I wanted a platform pedal for my commuter that will grip my shoes without damaging the soles. With a Vibram platform instead of spikes, I thought these would be perfect. The Vibram material doesn’t grip as well as I’d like. They work okay, but I miss the solid grip of my spiked platforms.

Great, Install them properly :)

Great pedals - to the reviewer below, is the "R" right by the "vibram" logo? That's a trademark, not the left/right indicator. the Left/right markings are on the insides of the pedals. Also, pedals are reverse threaded on the left side, so right tighty on the right pedal, lefty tighty on the left side. These are great pedals, and a steal at the current clearance price. Installed just fine on 2 bikes already.

two right feet

Thought I was getting a good deal on some pedals for my girlfriend. When I got home and went to put them on her bike, grab the right one and put it to the side to install the “left” pedal… “Left” pedal was not catching the thread of the crank no matter how what I did…examined the pedal and saw it had an ‘R’ on there..I thought I was just being a idiot and grabbed the wrong one, so I pick up the other and it also says “R” who took the left pedal from my set and swapped it with a right? Do they have 2 left feet?

Comfortable, great pedals for a commuter bike

Comfortable, grippy pedals that are great on a city/commuter bike. a little on the big side, which is good and bad, good because they will be easy to step on and comfortable with any kind of shoes, downside is that, the larger pedal can make the bike get stuck on racks, etc.
