Poor Quality = Cheapness
I purchased two pairs of Chaco Z1 (two different year designs), back when they were made in Paonia, CO. The first pair was light and the second pair was slightly heavier. Both were made with 2.5 cm webbing, first pair's straps were thicker and more comfortable. Soles were smooth, shallow lugged and gripped well on wet rocks. However, the last pair (Chaco Z1 Classic) I bought last year are the heaviest by far. With thin straps and the weight of the sandals, I developed blisters early in the season. The heavily lugged soles are magnets for grass, leaves, twigs, and little stones. They grip well but not as well as my previous two pairs.
Lower Quality than pair purchased 4 years ago.
I love chacos and had to recently buy this pair because my previous ones, after 4 years, finally bit the dust. This pair was not of the same quality as the last ones. The straps are thinner and the front of the of the sandal is already starting to wear from only like a week of wear. I was expecting things to be similar to my last pair that I had. But all this being said, they are still not terrible sandals. I just don't believe they are going to last as long as I would want them to.
Very Comfortable
I've worn Teva's for years, I wanted to try Chaco out. These are very comfortable, and fit well, although a bit wide. I look forward to taking these camping.
Take with a grain of salt
First time trying hiking sandals so I may have done it wrong, but these really didnāt fit me right. The straps dug into my feet and gave me blisters after a mile. I have tried other sizes and found they fit better, but I still prefer actual hiking shoes to these
slight defect
I bought these a week ago and wasn't able to get both of them on. The right one was fine, but I couldn't move the left strap. I will try another pair
Great fit
My friend really enjoys wearing them and likes the comfort and look
