My new go to
Seriously the most comfortable sandal I own. Super soft but also with the straps feels very secure and stable. Been wearing everyday running around with the kids and walking my dog on our trail. Love them and couldn’t recommend more!
Lightweight, comfortable, Supportive
I like these sandals. They are lightweight and very comfortable to wear - not at all clunky feeling. The velcro straps are a bit long, even for my fat feet, and they are juuuust barely long enough, so I would recommend going a half size up if you are between sizes. The inside of the sandal upper has a stretchy, almost cushiony fabric, which is very comfy and I would expect would prevent any rubbing or blisters. The footbed is textured and my feet don't slide around when I walk. My most pleasant surprise is how supportive the sandals feel in the arch, mid-foot and heel. Not too squishy, but very cushioned. Supportive, but not too firm or inflexible.
Top strap is not long enough-comfortable heel cush
Most comfortable cushion under your heel I have had in any shoe. However, the top velcro strap by your ankle needs to be 1.5 inches longer. The other straps fit well and the velcro engages. The top one only has about .25 inches for the velcro to engage. Very defective design flaw. It is not just my foot.
Velcro sandals
These are comfortable and nice looking. The Velcro adjustent is good for wide feet, but for a person with a high arch, the top-most velcro strap doesn't extend large enough. It either comes undone, or has to be too tight for comfort.
Super comfy
I was skeptical when buying these as I have never owned an open-toed sandal from KEEN. But I wanted something for the warm weather. Since I can't find the Bali anywhere anymore, I decided to give these a try. I just received them and went for a 3 mile walk to test them out. They're incredibly comfortable, right out of the box. I love the heel cushioning on this sandal. I typically wear a 9.5 and have a wider foot. I bought the 9.5 and these fit perfectly. The straps are adjustable, so they fit the width of my feet as well. The straps have some cushion on them as well. I look forward to wearing these all summer! **Please bring back the Bali Beach Sandal!**
Incredibly comfortable shoe, bad service
This shoe was comfortable the moment I put it on. Supportive, nice feeling sole on bare feet, and gives me a little height which I really like. I didn't want to take them off! Unfortunately I ordered the sage colour which is very muted irl and appears grey and is kinda ugly. I wanted to exchange them fo another colour but Keen doesn't do exchanges, so I have to return them, wait for them to process the return and put money back into my account and then reorder them. I don't want to wait another month into summer to get the shoes I want. I love Keen shoes but in the future when ordering shoes online I'll stick with Zappos.
Very cushioned sandals
In general, I like these sandals. I purchased them in black, and while they're "ugly", I think they're a look that works for me and are more stylish and secure on the foot than the Teva Tirras I have worn for years . My ankle surgeon recommended highly cushioned sandals and specifically mentioned Keen when he saw me wearing cork-bottomed sandals. I have had positive experiences with Keen with work boots and hiking boots, so I looked to see what Keen offered in sandals. I didn't want the traditional closed toe Keens because my big toe turns up and gets irritated by a lot of stiff-toed shoes, so when I saw these, I thought they might be a good option. The extra heel height I thought would mean more cushioning and higher heel to toe drop (which helps me walk better), and it did. The only comfort drawback worth mentioning is that the bottoms of my feet get pretty hot when wearing these for a while partly because they hold the feet in place well. For the price, I was initially surprised at what the sole material looked like, but they've held up pretty well so far. These might run just a bit small in length, but not sure - the lack of excess length at the toe seems better for safety (not tripping on extra sandal material). I have wide feet (tend to wear men's shoes or wides) and I was pleased that the regular width worked for me in a size 10. All in all, I was happy to not have to wear sneakers all summer while in the later stages of recovery from ankle fracture surgery.
Perfect Sandals
I have been searching for the ‘perfect’ sandal for some years; there’s always a problem…sometimes the shoes are too narrow for my dancer’s muscled feet, sometimes the heel is too low or too high, sometimes they’re just uncomfortable and the worst is when they cause pain in the knee, or hip. These sandals are, in my opinion, perfect. They fit perfectly; they have great arch/ankle/foot support; they are flexible and not heavy; they are easy to get on and off; they are a nice color; they are well made; they can get wet and they aren’t abrasive on the skin. I have only great things to say about these sandals, and I will be buying another pair! I strongly recommend them.
Super comfortable and versatile
Excellent sandal for both water and trail. Love the 3 adjustable straps that give lots of support. The footbed is anatomical so I didn’t get any rubbing. I have some foot pain and the Astoria West has a fantastic outsole preventing absorbing any shock to from rocks. I can keep these on all day!! And love the red pheasant color. It’s a welcome option to black. Finally, I can replace my ancient water sandals.
Super comfy sandals.
I've loved various Keen closed-toe sandals for many years. They have been my 5-miles-per-day walking sandals. When I tried the closed-toes Astoria West, I switched to that style for the cushy sole. And now I have the Keen Astoria West with cushy sole and an open toe! Love 'em!
