Amazing bike. Everything i was looking for to prepare for my first bikepacking trip! Im heading to the pacific coast to cycle the whole thing. Im in love with this bike and im so excited to leave in 6 weeks!
Solid bike and well put together and thoroughly checked. Very happy
The Salsa Journeyers are a really great frame that can take you pretty much wherever you might want to go (so long as you put the right tires on it). Just pick the component spec that suits your budget - IMHO, the Sora models are worth the $400 over the Advent ones for the superior components (e.g. higher quality drivetrain, carbon fork, nicer hubs, etc.). They have loads and loads of mount points for bikepacking or adventure gravel, but you could put some knobbier tires on for mellower mountain bike trails, or put some narrower slick tires on and you've got yourself an endurance-geometry road bike. With compatibility for either 650b or 700c wheels, you can have the 650s for rowdier surface use and pick up a second set of wheels in 700 for road and chill gravel - and you aren't swapping tires around. One observation - take care on sizing; the measurements on these are a little unconventional so you may find yourself wanting a frame size that's numerically larger than you'd ride with other bikes.
I returned a fat bike last Tuesday and wound up buying this model and it is like my road bike and mountain bike fell in love got married and had a child. The frame and bars of a road bike, drive train of a mountain The frame fits excellent and rides both the roads, dirt and gravel so nicely. Its honestly just so easy to ride. My buddy did a test ride around the lof on our Saturday ride and now he's looking to buy one. Only downsides are the fat bike just didn't work for me. So much effort for little return. They're cool just not fir me
Bought this bike for my bday. I Love it, super comfortable, and the bike components are exceptional for the price range. The main issue is that it runs small. I'm 5'7" and usually ride 55cm. I had to get a 57cm due to how small it is. I love the 57cm even added a burley bike seat for my lil one. Hoping to take it on a bike tour soon!
A beautiful bike! The sizing was accurate for my height, I’m 5’5 and 3/4”, and I purchased the 53. I mainly use it for recreational road to gravel biking and it’s been light, fast, and easy to manage on different terrains. I’m a novice rider, and this bike has been a welcome upgrade to my growing interest in riding.
The salsa sora has solid components at an entry level price. Great handling and is a great introduction to cycling and mixed terrain. Handles everything well Couple downsides. The 650 tires don’t have the same options of tires as the 700. The tires punctured on me twice in a month before going tubeless. No problems sense
