Great item.

Wow. This is really great item which really works. It can be recharged approximately in an hour (I used 18W wall charger). The maximum heat on full mode (2 sides with full 3 bars) is almost burning your hands but definitely it won't last 9 hours in full mode. Easy to operate with one single button just read instruction once and there will be no confusion. The small light is actually is tiny area light which is useful to look something inside of your bag or to start a fire but I would not call it flashlight. Lanyard is thick ( about 5mm) and slightly stretchy which fills comfortable. Shape of the unit is also very comfortable. The price is fair when you use it even though it fills expensive when you just looking on the package in the store. The weight with lanyard is 170 grams or about 6 oz.

Pretty nice, until it stops working

This hand warmer was nice while it worked. It warms up quickly and stays warm for a long time. It's a bit confusing to cycle through the settings with a single button, so I often found myself trying to remember how turn the LED flashlight off. The BIG issue is that after a little over 2 years of light use (probably used a total of 15 times), it just stopped working. I had been using it and it was showing at least 75% percent charge, I shut it off and then it just never turned back on. It won't register being plugged in. Now it's just e-waste that cannot be easily disposed of. I think on the whole, disposable hand warmers are probably less wasteful than this thing lasting only 2 years.

I wish I found these earlier!

I am so happy I came across these! I had been going to baseball tournaments for my son a 7:00 am and used Hot Hand (air actived). I still felt frozen by 10:00 am. These were game changers. There are 6 levels for heat generation. On the highest setting my hands were sweating and I sometimes would turn them down because they were too hot. Luckily you can adjust up and down to meet your needs. You can also use them with other devices using USB to charge them on the go. I’m using them in winter as hand warmer and in the summer to charge my phone when I family needs that extra charge. They are heavy, but small enough to tuck into gloves and into your pockets.

Electric Handwarmer

I've only owned this since opening it as a Christmas present 4 days ago. It has been on two hikes and a boat ride is very cool weather and has worked flawlessly. The higher heat settings are for starting out when you have cold hands and can wrap both hands around the device. If you want to use it inside a (very loose fitting) glove or against your chest while wearing the lanyard then change the setting to heating just one side. Very nice to have on the boat!

Great for those of us with constantly cold hands

I purchased one to see if it would help my constantly cold hands and it's great. It's easy to operate and there are multiple settings depending on how much heat you want. I also purchased a different brand handwarmer to compare the two. I'm returning that one and getting a second one of these.

works well for me

I felt badly using those hot hands packages & throwing them away at the end of the day. I bought this a year ago & it still works. I work in film & TV, which can mean a lot of time standing around outside in the cold. This helps keep my fingers nice & toasty! Mostly I put it on the lowest, single-side setting to prolong battery life- I do wish it lasted a little longer on the lowest both sides setting, but this seems to be the best of what’s available.

Works well, but somewhat fragile.

I ordered this item expecting it to be of better quality. It charged my phone and warmed my hands as advertised. I was satisfied with this, but after a single drop, the item already broke. If you plan to sit down on the floor while warming your hands, or leave it in your pocket while charging your phone, then this is the item for you! However, it is not recommended for those who are more active.

Good quality rechargeable hand warmer

It is a good quality hand warmer that met my expectations. Even though it didn't give me 9 hours of heat as advertised, I'm still satisfied. Assuming that the timing doesn't degrade fast as battery degrades over time I'm happy. I measured times on full charge, under room temperatures: 1-sided, low heat: 7 hours 55 minutes 1-sided, medium heat: 3 hours 50 minutes 1-sided, maximum heat: 3 hours 55 minutes 2-sided, low heat: 4 hours 2-sided, medium heat: 2 hours 5 minutes 2-sided, maximum heat: 1 hour 30 minutes LED light: ~7 days (~168 hours) Charging iPhone 13 Pro Max: charges to 83%, it takes 3 hours 30 minutes. Recharging the heatbank takes 3 hours. LED light is not a replacement for a full-size flashlight, but it's still a light. You still can illuminate your path in an emergency situation, and you definitely can see something up close what your hands are on. If you're only going to use it 8 hours a day, it should last for 21 days. For hand warming, 1-sided medium heat makes the most sense to me. Given that LED light can work 7 full days until the battery runs out, it doesn't make much sense to turn it off to save the battery to get more hand warming time: if you walk in the night, and need to illuminate your path, go on and don't turn it off until the battery runs out from the hand warming function. As power bank, charging is not fast by any means, but it is probably good enough to keep charging faster than the phone battery drains as you use the phone. Capacity-wise, to charge iPhone 13 Pro Max to 83% is reasonably practical. How Zippo could've improved this heat bank (assuming it doesn't reduce it's primary function as heat bank, and temperatures or time it can be used as hand warmer are not negatively affected): 1. Display battery charge as percentage instead of bars. 2. Faster charging when functioning as power bank. 3. USB-C input and USB-A and USB-C output (if same C port can be used as both input and output without the need to additionally press any buttons, that's great). 4. (I wouldn't use the lanyard anyway, but) the lanyard that comes with it is too thin for the lanyard loop you attach it to for it to attach really securely. Currently, you almost can pull a pencil through lanyard loop. I'd recommend to make lanyard loop way smaller (like the lanyard loop on the Gen2 AirPods Pro case). Or to provide a different lanyard which is thicker at the part that attaches to the loop. Fuel-based hand warmer can be a more reliable option, but not without its downsides, as you can't turn it off with a push of a button, recharge from USB port, or to use as freely in indoor environment. Maybe I'll update my review in a year from now as battery degrades with usage, and I measure performance in freezing cold, but so far I'm satisfied.

Warmest I have used

I purchased this little gem 2 winters ago and am glad I did. I use it when it's in the 20s or below. It's better than others I have tried because it is so warm. I like the flexibility to have only one side heated and the shape fits naturally in my hand. I have used it around 20 nights on the trail and it works as well today as the first night.
