I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I enjoy cross country skiing on and off trail, as well as skijoring (cross country skiing with my dog pulling me). These are the perfect boots for all three of these types of skiing. They are warm, comfortable and easy to put on. I highly recommend them!
I was looking for a cross-country touring boot that was warm, comfortable and fit a women’s foot. I like to ski with my dogs on ungroomed trails in Millcreek Canyon in Utah. The X5 OT did the trick. The boot fits great; I like my feet to stay warm and it has the control and balance I desired. I bought a pair of the Rossignol Evo OT skis at the same time and found the skis and boots paired up nicely.
I am a beginner nordic skier and did a lot of research before purchasing these boots! So far they have been very warm and comfortable and I am happy with my purchase. I usually wear a size 8 - I ordered a size 40 in this boot and it is the right size (I also tried a 39 but it was tight when I had warm socks on). Would recommend!
These are my 3rd pair of X-country ski boots and far and away my favorite pair. They are nice and warm as well as high topped. Not only do they provide great ankle support, but they keep the snow out.
This is my first pair xc boots, and I am a beginner. Love the quality and I used them already 10-15 times and was very happy with them. So this seems to me like a great pair for beginners. However, I realized that I prefer a slightly tighter shoe. I think these are made for long excursions, where the shoe has to be comfortable enough. However, if you like shorter (~ 2 hours) and more intense trips, I think it's a good idea to learn about shoes with a tighter fit.

Very comfortable and very warm. A big upgrade from my 10y.o. Fischer boots.
I love these boots. They are comfortable, supportive, easy to put on and take off and they stay tied during skiing.
These boots fit very well and kept me warm and dry. Highly recommend them
