Features

  • Rotational motion can cause brain injuries; with MIPS, a low-friction layer slides 10 to 15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
  • In-mold construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with an impact-absorbing foam liner; fusion process allows for lighter helmets and better ventilation
  • In Form Fit System lets you quickly dial in a custom fit, even with gloves on; ergo-friendly dial at the helmet's base enhances stability and provides up to 6 cm adjustability
  • Easily control your temperature when things heat up with Thermostat Control and Stack Vent technology
  • Thermostat Control adjustable venting lets you tune airflow with a simple, low-profile button on the outside of the helmet
  • Stack Vent aligns with the center vent of your goggles to keep them fog-free; helmet is designed for seamless compatibility with Giro goggles (not included)
  • Vertical Tuning feature accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom, gap-free fit
  • Plush Max padding to maximize warmth and comfort
  • Certification: CE EN1077

BEST HELMET
Best helmet for snowboarding! It keeps my head safe and warm. Light too. I'm more petite frame and really liked that it didn't feel heavy, sweaty or uncomfortable. I was out in the snow for hours and grabbed food with it on without realizing I could have taken it off. My goal was to find a middle price range helmet that protects me and I found the perfect one. Thanks REI

Not designed for long hair
The first day I wore this I did my hair in double french braids, and ended up with a headache from where the helmet pressed against the braids at the base of my skull. I had to switch helmets with my son (same brand, different/older helmet) at lunch, but he didn't like it either. The second day I wore my hair in a single french braid and loosened the helmet enough that perhaps it wasn't safe, but no headache. HOWEVER then the helmet sat higher on my head and my goggles no longer fit properly. So, I'm not sure what to do, since my hair is layered I can't leave it free until it exits the helmet or else it will be tangled. I may end up returning this.

Comfy size!

I bought and compared this with the Giro Avera helmet. While both fit my medium (22.5") head with the adjustable headband, the Neo fits a taller/longer head while the Avera seems shallower to fit a shorter head. I got the matte harbor blue, and it is a lovely peacock color. Inner foam is removable. My only complaint is the chin strap is sewed down on one side thus cannot be slid to center under my chin. I haven't worn this skiing yet, but it seems protective and nice!

Comfy and warm

I love this helmet! I wrote it for 8 straight hours of skiing in 15F weather and was comfortable, warm, and protected the entire time. I used a very thin helmet liner, and that was all that was needed. It's very easy to adjust the size of this helmet and MIPS offers increased protection. The front vents ensured my goggles didn't fog up. Absolutely perfect.

Gets the job done.

This brand fits my head the best, so this is my fourth or fifth Giro helmet purchased. Warm, lightweight, fits my Oakley goggles. One star taken off because it doesn’t look like they include a storage bag anymore - the bag used to have a fantastic goggle pouch attached too.

Slays

Helmet fits well and keeps me warm. Normally I don’t care too much about “women’s” fit but I tired a few on in store and the fit made a difference. It works well with anon m4 goggles.

Fashion & Function

I needed to upgrade my helmet this season and bought this beauty. I feel so stylish. Love the raspberry pink color.
