Sizing Notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".

PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.

TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.

Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Inseam is measured to the floor.

Hiking + Nursing-Friendly Henley

Overall, I really like the design and feel of this shirt! The material is much thicker than I was expecting but it turned out to be perfect for the extremely-mild summer weather we’ve been experiencing in the Pacific Northwest (more rain and cooler weather than normal)! I wore this shirt hiking and on my daily walk (both days were fairly cool) and it did a great job of keeping me warm enough without making me overheat. In addition to the comfortable material, I also really love the four-button Henley design of this shirt since it made it very easy for me to nurse my son on the go. While I do love this shirt, I do think it runs a bit big and boxy, and the sleeves are pretty long (I’m 5’11” and tested the medium but probably should have gotten a small). Additionally, I really, really didn’t like the Ginger Root color on me and I don’t think it’s a universally flattering color. That said, the shirt is excellent quality and I wouldn’t hesitate to get another in a different color and one size smaller.

Not the best design
I love henleys. This one is not ideal. The placket of a henley should fall gently open when unsnapped, to vent heat. This one stiffly stays in place, giving no relief and looking like you've forgotten to finish dressing. It is too wide, and too thick. If a designer must go awry and choose buttons over snaps for a henley, they should be small buttons. These buttons are large, and the buttonholes are horizontal instead of vertical. It makes the shirt difficult to unbutton (although unbuttoning this shirt is pointless in terms of style and function), and it makes the placket half to two-thirds wider than it should be (which is why the placket neither opens nor stays open as it should). I bought and kept the shirt because it's a poly-free organic cotton/hemp blend. That's good, at least. It doesn't look bad on me, and the bottom hem is very nice. But I'm wearing it right now, and the physical sensation of the thick placket is bugging me, so I have regrets.

Best Henley shirts I’ve ever purchased!

For size reference, I’m 5’07”, 110 pds, 32C, and slender built. I purchased all colors in size XS. The fit on my body frame is just right. Not too tight and not boxy. The four buttons are large enough so I can button them due to arthritis and tremors The material is on the thicker and heavy side. The cream color is not see-through over. a light colored bra, I have long arms and it covered past my wrist. The Henley shirts are not for hot TX weather but perfect for the Fall, Winter and Spring season. The color red cascade is more of an orange. The only reason for four stars is because I was washed/dried ithem as recommended and the shirts shrunk 2 inches.

Love this top

This is a really great shirt. Personally, I am always so happy to find hiking clothing that isn't made out of plastic (polyester, etc). This is hemp and organic cotton, materials that are more sustainable and healthy for our ecosystem. Anyway. I got the Toadstool color and it's a little less pink than pictured, a bit cooler in hue—either way, I love it. It's pretty thick so will be used for cooler hiking. I would say it runs a bit large. I normally wear a Med and got a Small based on other reviews, and it fits great - 36" bust, 5'6, 128lb. I know this will last a long time, it's made tough, and that's what I love to find in clothing. Soft and cozy too. Thank you for this top!

Soft, comfortable shirt

Received free product

The hemp & organic cotton blend makes this a very soft and comfortable shirt. The front buttons are very flattering. It was heavier than I was expecting. I’m a petite 5’2”, 110 pounds, typically 4-6 in tops, and the Small fit well throughout the bust and torso. Length was right at my hips. It is a bit big throughout the shoulders and the sleeves are really long. So long that the sleeves will readily cover my entire hands unless I bunch it up. Overall the long sleeves are not a deal breaker and the roominess in the shoulders makes this a great hiking shirt. This will be a terrific shirt for fall hikes and nights by the campfire.

Uncomplicated layer

Loose fit, great layer, can tie it around your waist or wear it or both back and forth as I found myself doing throughout a day hike. The color is nice and the material has that natural fiber feel.

Long Sleeves (Literally)

Received free product

I really liked the design of this shirt but the sleeves are SO long. I felt that it fit my torso true to size (I am athletic and slender, 5'5 and 115 lbs) but the arm sleeves went past my hands. This would be great if I was in colder temperatures and didn't have gloves but I usually don't like to have my hands covered nor having material bunched up on my arms or hands. As for the material, if you're looking for something thick and warm, you've found it. This was surprisingly thicker than I had expected but it kept me nice and warm without the thought of a jacket. The color is more of a darker mustard color than I had expected but nevertheless it is still very flattering on me.

The shirt I've been looking for

I love this hemp blend! It is thick and warm, it fits snugly and is a great layer to keep the chill of damp Portland days out. It's similar to Jungmaven's 55% hemp/cotton blend. Love the botanical colorways they chose this fall, but I agree that they ran quite large. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs and wear a 32C, and I ordered the ginger in XS. Great fit through the torso, but I can roll the cuffs all the way back once (like the length of my whole palm!) and the sleeves are still too long. I probably would have ordered a second shirt in Nutmeg or Lavender except all the XS sold out. I hope REI keeps tinkering with the fit, and continues to offers durable, rugged hemp blends in classic silhouettes.

Favorite Henley

I am 5'5" 120 and got the XS. This shirt is exactly what I have been looking for! It is nicely fitted without being too tight and the sleeves are nice and long. I love the hemp/cotton blend because it feels well made and sturdy while still being comfortable enough to lounge in. I love to layer it with a flannel. I just ordered this in ginger and would love to see more colors, especially a forest green be released!

Great comfort, but not that attractive

I'm torn... This shirt is extremely comfortable and the material is thick and very soft. The quality of construction seems great. However, I think it is the unattractive shirt I own. The nutmeg color is a poopy red-brown (not the rust orange that I had hoped for), and the shoulders are wide (the shoulder seams fall well past my shoulder line and look man-ish). I ordered a Small and it was big at first but has shrunk a bit with several washes and dries. My trusted friend said it looks like I'm wearing my big brother's hand me down, and i agree. So, I'm torn because I really enjoy wearing it around the house - so comfortable!! - but I don't plan to wear it in public because it is very unflattering on me.

Third Color of this Henley!

Soft & comfy shirt and I now have one of each color! I sized up for comfort and for layering under jackets. They do not shrink; they wash nicely but I pull out of the dryer to hang up when still slightly damp because they are so thick. Yes they are long but I just tuck in one corner of shirt into my jeans for modern look for this senior camper lady. The sleeves are long but I just push them up if needed and they stay put. I'm thinking I'll get years of wear and you can't beat the quality.
