Honestly, I don’t have anything to compare this too. However, I imagine this is a good product. I have no complaints really. Set up is VERY easy. Much easier than I thought it would be. Luckily I was able to use the manual pump that came with my husband’s SUP board which also has a Halkey-Robert’s valve. I timed the pump up and it took me about 3 minutes. And no, I was not rushing. Loading into and out of the boat wasn’t difficult. I felt secure and was able to handle wake in the Potomac river in DC quite easily. It isn’t the fastest moving boat I’m sure but that wasn’t what I really needed anyways. My only complaint is that it does require 2 people to get folded up and fitted back into the backpack it comes with. But that’s no big deal. After a while, my bottom was quite uncomfortable too but I’ll add a towel to sit on next time, and maybe it just takes some getting used to. I’m also surprised at how far the foot rest is from the seat. I’m 6 feet tall, and it was perfect for my length, so I’m not sure if it’d be comfortable for a shorter person. Overall I’m happy!
I’ve had this boat for 6 months and love it. I use a foot pump to inflate (100 steps on each side) and it is ready to go in 5 min. It is super light compared to my other duckies, but only rated to class II making it perfect for flat water rivers and lakes. I think it would swamp pretty easy in any serious rapids due to its low profile. It is also fairly wide, so consider a longer paddle. It tracks well, fits in the pack without too much effort, and has lots of room for gear. My only real complaint is that seat is uncomfortably hard after an hour or so, but that is an easy fix with a cushion upgrade.
This is a perfect sized kayak for me (I'm 6'1). So far we have taken out our boats on a lake and the intercoastal bay area in our town and they both worked great. The carrying pack it comes with is 100% better than the others such as the Chinook. There are back straps, a mesh pocket for my pumps, and it packs up easy inside. I like the inflatable back support, which could be a downside if you prefer to have an adjustable seat placement, but it works nice for me. Great spot to stow a beverage or two in there. It's easy to inflate, make sure to use the fitting that came with the boat, that works best. Other than that, I'm very happy with this purchase as this is my first kayak.
I am very happy to own this kayak. It is room, rigid, and tracks fast. I feel very secure in it. The seat is comfortable and easy to sit on for hours. Can't wait for this next season to explore more. I would definitely recommend this kayak for people that want to take leisurely camping trip with friends or just a day on the lake.
I love this kayak. It's very easy to inflate, deflate, and carry. Very steady on the water, tracks quite well, comfortable. It's a bit wide (39"), so a wide paddle is helpful. Also -- it has lots of space for gear or a dog or even a second small person, so if you don't need that much space you might consider the 110. I do wish it had more d-rings or tie-downs, but there are sturdy handles on each side to tie on to. Overall, for the price, a great kayak for a beginner or occasional user.
I love this kayak. It feels very sturdy and of high quality. EASY to inflate and deflate. Comfortable and not hard to get in and out. Tracks well and handles small waves great. I am very happy I bought this and not one of the cheaper ones.
Mixed thoughts on this kayak as I was expecting much more: it's light and it's fragile, it's a wide kayak (38" measured) and one needs to be raised up or go with a long 240/250 paddle. Floor is too thin and flexy. Tracking ok, speed barely ok, but my Advanced Elements Expedition Elite is a much better kayak by every measure (but heavier) with speed, tracking, glide, and heavy duty materials that will last a long time. Expedition also has the drop stitch floor making it paddle like a hard shell.
