Poor Design/Horrible Product

This quick release design is flawed. The washer ring falls out of it and then it starts leaking, but it is the consumer’s fault that the washer ring falls out according to Greggory. So I ordered a replacement kit. You have to cut the hose in 1/3 and attach the one end to the quick release valve. Which was impossible to do! It is stuck 1/3 of the way on the quick release and will not come off now nor go all the way on. Why isn’t this replacement kit already set up and ready to go????? Horrible design and horrible product. I am trying to help out my boss with this replacement tube and the whole process has put me off ever buying a Greggory Hydra pack.

Connector Doesn't Fit Hose Properly

For some reason the hose on the male connector only fits on by less than a quarter inch (and that is only if you push and twist till your hands are shaking), and this apparently is by design. I kept trying to get it to go further (to be like the rest of the connectors), and I hope I didn't compromise the fitting in the process. Zero explanation for why they designed it like that. I haven't checked for leaks yet, but I'm not optimistic. Another bad experience with Gregory products.

Short and hard to clean

The picture is misleading and makes you think there are two sections of the hose: one from the bladder to the connector (quickrelease) and then another one to the bite valve. That is not the case. They send you one hose that is 3inch short compared to the stock hose that comes with the bladder. That is a lot and makes it unusable. Now, good luck trying to detach the valves to clean this. They are almost impossible to detach once they are in. On top of this, returns are a paid and you have to pay no matter what the issue is or if you did not like the product. Go somewhere and buy an Osprey or Dakine.

convenient replacement

Needed to replace the original hose on my Gregory bladder as it had gotten moldy and impossible to clean (also smelled terrible). Thankful they sell this and didn’t have to buy a whole new system. All I’ll say is be absolutely sure where you want to cut it before you do. Getting the attachments into the ends of the hose was a nightmare. I recommend running it under hot water first to make it a little more pliable.

Great way to customize the water bladder hose

I order this to go with my Gregory 3D Bladder so that I could put in an inline water filer from ### and after a couple of day hikes its working out great. In particular it was easy to cut the tubing to the length I needed such that the filer ended up in the same area as the bladder in my backpack. With the quick connect fittings its easy to pull out the bladder and likewise easy to remove the filter and reconnect the hoses for days when I don't need the filter. Overall it very convenient and there have been no problems.

Bad fit. Incorrect product picture

The real product does not look like the one in the image: the hose is just one long piece and you have to cut it. That is not the worst part: I managed to cut it pretty straight but one other end was cut by Gregory with a skew (not straight perpendicular to the axis). The worst part is trying to insert those connector parts into the hose' ends. The hose is extremely tight and I managed to insert about 5mm of the plastic end into the hose. After that the hose bent and now it has a visible kink. I need to use it next week and I hope it will not leak but this thing is going back to REI for replacement until I will get this right. Unfortunately the short tube did fit into the bladder's connector but I cannot remove it. I will ask REI guys to remove it without breaking the bladder. A really bad product from Gregory.

Works perfectly

A squirrel ate through my last hose so I needed to replace a portion of my older hose. The new hose was slightly too long but I was able to cut it to the length of my liking, put on the proper attachments and it worked perfectly!

Easy, quick and helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously purchased a Gregory Inertia 25 and 15 and each came stock without the quick disconnect. This was easy and quick to install and works well.
