Great shorts, but missing two belt loops.
Great fabric, fit (in a true size 33), and pocket design. I bought these for kayaking and bicycling, and have used them for both. Only complaint is one crazy design flaw: Missing belt loops on the sides! At first I though the pair I received just had a manufacturing defect, but I see many other complaints it posted online. If you wear a belt with these, it will slip above the waistband and dig into your sides. This flaw is hidden in the "untucked" photos shown on the web site, unless you watch the video closely towards the end. If NRS would fix this, 5-stars!
No Belt
Have two other pairs from previous year. They came with belts. The new ones did not include belts.
Amazing!
I wear these kayak fishing and they are so comfortable. Sizing is spot on, length is perfect, and they can be worn as casual shorts as well. They are pricey but about the same as golf shorts. I have a NRS PFD and a few other things and it is a great brand built for the outdoors. I will be buying a couple more pair!
Good fit but not at all "quick drying."
I took these shorts on a trip to the Galapagos Islands. There were a lot of wet landings and departures from beaches. These shorts were quite comfortable but di not dry out at all in 80 to 90 degree temperatures and about 80 % humidity. Wet or damp from day 1 to day 8 even with extended hanging on sunny top deck of our boat.
Excellent Shorts
These shorts are excellent. This is my second pair. They have good stretch for biking and fit well. The newer ones seem slightly lighter and have different belt loops. They are expensive but are good quality and hold up well.
Not quite great shorts
Feel good and look nice but because of the belt opportunity noted in other reviews they are a no go. Mine keep falling off so a belt is critical if you want to go out in public. Fix the waist band and I buy several pairs.
NRS guide shorts ready for whatever
Great looking shorts, fit very well. Look good wearing them out around town or playing about on water paddling. Very comfortable; light, breathable fabric with lots of pockets - 2 regular and three zippered. Like these so much that will likely get another pair.
Great shorts for the river
These shorts are great for a day on the river or a night on the town. I love that they have pockets, most trunks only have one back pocket. My only wish is that they offered more colors.
Excellent shorts- they do not dry that quickly though. only issue is that it doesn't come with the belt.
