Great bike for any serious biker!
I just got my bike 5 days ago, but it is phenomenal. The bike with its Bosch motor is very powerful and fast! This is my 4th ebike so I am very familiar with them; this includes one I had in Germany with a Bosch engine. I was used to an ebike with a throttle and this one does not have one; but I don’t miss it. I wanted a more powerful bike so I could get more exercise, and this one will do it. I am exhausted after my 20 mile ride daily, and I can feel a difference after even such a short time. This Cannondale bike has beautiful style. It is not my old ebike. Fast, power, beauty all in one. Btw, my husband has the same bike for 2 weeks longer than I.
This thing is like riding the Batcycle
This is the Canvas Remixte which means it has step-through geometry. That's the only difference I can tell between this and the regular Canvas NEO. This is a class 3 pedal assist which means it is supposed to assist up to 28 mph. My odometer is inaccurate, appears to be 3 mph too fast. The bike says I'm going 28, my Garmin watch and digital speed readouts on the streets for car traffic say I'm going 25. Maybe REI or Cannondale can resolve this. The tires this bike comes with are not tubeless compatible. I ordered some burly gnarly go-anywheres because it makes it look meaner and I intend to abuse this bike unmerciful on trails, canal roads, trash alleys and desert roads of PHX. Those are the only drawbacks I have for this bike. After a few months riding a class 1 assist going up to class 3 is a sea change. Class 1 when you hit 20 mph feels like someone is suddenly pulling you back with a bungee cord. Honestly, Class 1 assist should be considered a highly pedestrian experience. It's for cruising around with people, kids, casual, easy riding. The only other utility class 1 has is for touring with bags, extra weight. Accelerating from 20 to 28 is incredible and it's easy to sustain 29 mph on your own power on flat ground for a while. When you get tired, drop down to 25 and the assist is right there to get you back up to 28. The engine is not loud but it emits a really pleasing sort of revving screech as you accelerate. It sounds like the bat cycle. I honestly feel like Batman sometimes when I'm accelerating full power. I know of no higher praise you can give a bike than that.
