In my opinion this is the first actual attempt of a “camping hammock” from eno. All of eno’s products have always left me wanting more but the “new” jungle nest is awesome. I was looking at other brands and hammocks including dream, Warbonnet, and Hennessey but while looking, no hammock checked as many boxes as the jungle nest did. I was hesitant at first due to the lack of reviews and information about it but happy that I decided to go with it. The spreader bar does a good job of opening the hammock and makes a notable difference. Phone and head pouch are great for small things and the Integrated ridge line works great. Some things that I wish were present though are tie out hooks and under quilt hooks and possibly some adjustment in the ridge line. Overall this is a great hammock and does great against the competition.

As a hammock lover and lover of the original eno junglenest I was very excited to try the new junglenest with a removable bug net and built in ridgeline. upon setting up this hammock I realized the built in Ridgeline was too short to pull it nice and taut how I like it, so the center of the hammock sagged (a discomfort thing for me). i decided to remove the Ridgeline and replace it with a longer one that I made myself. after measuring, the Ridgeline it comes with is approx 8 feet and the hammock itself is 10. hmmm... on my second go of setting up, things went smoothly, but I found that if I wanted the bugnet to be closed all the way, I either had to set up the hammock with the bugnet zipped beyond halfway of either side or get out of the hammock completely which was also quite a stretch as the zippers are designed more like an arch at the end as opposed to 2 sides coming together. i feel like after multiple uses the strain on fabric on that end will cause a rip or tear. its hard to explain, but definitely more of a hassle than I was anticipating. honestly, now that I've learned how to attach a Ridgeline I may just go back to the og junglenest, but I will give it a couple test nights before I decide for sure.

Excellent design doesn’t work well w/ some tarps.

Upgraded from an ENO double nest and also grabbed a Helios suspension system to have the integrated bug net. It saves time setting up the bug net since it’s already attached. The only complaint I have is the bug net is lifted by a small aluminum pole that keep the net away from your face. That pole creates a dome that the standard ENO canopy does not fit over well it took several tries to get the fit right so the tarp was not in contact with the hammock, I was finally able to get a good fit by placing the tarp higher than I usually would on a double nest, I will be investing in a new rain tarp as I usually like my tarp a bit liver to block the wind.

Quality Product, A Bit Small

I bought this to see whether it could be a lighter option than my Eno double nest combined with a separate bug net. It absolutely is! And it comes with all the smart, simple design features and build quality you can expect from Eno. Sadly, it is a very small hammock, which is no where near as comfortable as the double nest. Because of this, it wasn’t the game changer I was looking for. At six feet tall, I felt rather cramped. So, while it will not be replacing my other hammock set up, it may be right for you, if you are on the smaller side. If so, it is well made, easy to set up, with great bug protection.

Bring a blanket or liner for heavy mosquito areas

Easy to set up very comfortable and provided excellent protection from biting flies. Beware, mosquitoes can bite through the bottom liner. Wear long pants and sleeves or bring a blanket or liner if you take this camping in a heavy mosquito area. Otherwise very comfortable and light and easy to set up.

Better than the original

I’ve owned the original ENO JungleNest for about 5 years. It’s been put through the paces on numerous trips through Mexico and always worked great. The new JungleNest is even better though and will be my new go-to camping hammock. The best feature is the little pole that keeps the hamock nice and open. Will try to upload a photo later.

It is awesome!

The JungleNest is awesome! It seems like they designed this to lay in it diagonally. So even though its sagging, you can sleep nice and flat. No tight stretching of the zipper so far, regardless of how tight I set it up; unlike the Skylight hammock, which sucks in my opinion. Used it for a week of bike camping and it is the best hammock I have used (in 10+ years of hammock camping). Quick set up and works well with the XL Helios straps for big trees and distances.

Great hammock but need to buy cord separate

Would give 5 stars except the hammock didn't come with all the pieces. Suspension cord sold separately, which was not clear to me when I bought it.

Backyard Hammock

Decent hammock for the backyard, good zippers and bug net, easy setup with Helios straps The spreader keeps netting away from the body and gives an overall roomy feel. The one complaint is the storage pockets, the side pocket is too shallow, the loft storage is also a bit small, a bit longer (wider) would make it more useable. If you are looking for something to use for back country, this will work but I would look for other options and spend a few more dollars for a modular system.

Wonderful with some flaws

Some strangeness but a great hammock. First gripe is this system is very incomplete. You need to buy a suspension system and two carabiners (if you get the atlas system) separately to use this. Second gripe is that you can't pull this as taut as you'd like, the rope that holds up the net is much shorter than the hammock and limits tension (likely to avoid stressing the zippers but still). So if you need a super tight hammock to be cozy, this isn't the one for you. All that said tho, I love it! I felt to smug in my little hammock, reading my book, watching bugs bounce off and gazing at the leaves above through the generous window provided by the spreader bar. I have big plans to get an underquilt and topquilt for some serious hammock camping soon
