It works very well. I've been waiting for this to come out for a while and was super stoked I found it before my last trip to Yosemite. It made coffee for 6 people every morning. Remember to get pressed grounds though.

Coffee press

Coffee press is a little tricky to use, Must push down slow and steady or you will have coffe grounds all over in your mug. It takes some practice. Coffee taste really good once you get it.

Works so much better than predecessor.

I had the previous version of this press and this thing is so much better. The previous one would get all kinds of grinds in the coffee and so I would have a separate strainer I'd take along. With the new version, you don't need that anymore. It's definitely worth the purchase if you are a coffee drinker and have a jet boil.

Makes great coffee

There are a variety of add-ons to make a cup of coffee in the field. I tried this one, and it's great, easy and pretty much foolproof

Worked perfectly

Used this with my MiniMo. Gets the job done. No complaints. Ditch the instant coffee and bring your grounds!

It works, mostly

As a backpacker and coffee lover, I had to give it a shot. We all get tired of the freeze dried / instant coffee, so I wanted a real cup in the back country. This works for its intended use, but it is a camping coffee press; don't expect perfection. Quite a bit of grounds made it through because it flexes a little more than I would like, but it still made a decent cup of coffee. Not enough grounds to keep me from drinking it.

It works great, I used it in the field for 2 weeks, it's better than using the instant coffee packs. Nothing beats a cup of hot coffee while it's cold out in the field. No real complaints, and the asking price makes it a must for the Jet Boil. I paired it with the mini mo amt, and it works great. A tip I have when packing it is to remove one of the segments so you can pack it nicely and neatly. I would definitely buy again

New Design Works Great

I bought to go along with my Sumo, and have used it twice now for a few pots of coffee each time - works great, and cleans up easy. I have never used the first generation coffee press, but this redesigned unit appears to be an improvement leaps and bounds beyond the original. Leaves just the slightest bit of the finest residue in the bottom of the last cup poured. Looking forward to years of use!

simple and light weight

I bought this about a month ago and have used it about 5 times. Love it. It was super easy to use, most grounds were filtered, taste was great, and it adds almost zero weight to your pack. So if you want a small luxury like coffee on the trail I would say it is at a minimum worth a shot for the price.
