Frustrating for Thieves

I have had my Pacsafe bag for a few years, and mostly use it when traveling to and within Papua New Guinea. Today while walking around an outdoor marketplace, I was suddenly accosted by a knife-wielding thief who attempted to cut through the strap of my bag, slashing it multiple times. Thankfully, his attempts ended in failure, since he would have needed a wire-cutter to extract my bag from my body. I am so thankful for this well-made, travel-safe bag and will definitely recommend it to others!

I've been a big fan of Pacsafe bags for a few years now. This bag was a disappointment as, in only six months the zipper has pulled away from the bag body. Really thankful for REI's return policy.

Great travel bag - held everything I needed

I bought this for a recent trip to Central America and it was perfect for me. The company does make a larger version of this bag, but this was the right choice for me. It held my wallet, passport, keys, phone, one of the little water bottles that comes with the hotel room, and a light scarf. There was more room in the outer pockets for other things like a pen, COVID card, etc. The zipper locks helped me feel at-ease about pickpockets and helped me relax and just enjoy my trip instead of worrying about having my stuff stolen. The bag itself is sturdy and is comfortably worn crossbody. I recommend the bag to anyone!

Super-secure, durable day bag for city travel

I've only had this bag for a couple of weeks, but the bag fabric seems to be really durable with the thick straps that can't be cut. This is my first Pacsafe bag, so it took some time acclimating to the safety clips for all the zippers. But once I figured out the clasps, it wasn't an issue. I really like the RFID pocket, which is useful for international travel and eliminated the need for my passport waist-belt. This bag feels safe and secure enough on me as is. I can also hook it to a chair or table if I'm sitting outside or in a cafe, so that no one can walk away with it. The bag size initially felt a little in-between for me. It's smaller than my courier bag, but it's bigger than my previous daybag (for phone, wallet, keys, tissues). But... that does make this Pacsafe bag perfect for city travel: When I was heading out for the day, I was able to roll up an anorak to fit inside the bag with all my other stuff, and I still had a bit of room to spare. I also fit a water bottle in there. (see pic) Overall, this bag is a little bigger than minimalist-me would need on an everyday basis, but it's excellent for travel and especially for city travel.

Great quality but too bulky for my personal liking

This crossbody bag is another great bag by pacsafe. Wonderful quality and very durable is are all my pacsafe bags I have. There is a lot of room it in the bag which is great. But it is just a little too thick causing it to feel bulky for my liking in a cross body. I have other cross body bags by pacsafe that I prefer over this bag. But overall if you don’t mind a little bulkier bag it is great. Also a great size bag for traveling as it is small but roomy enough to put many items in and has a couple small zipper compartment to help keep one a bit organized. There is plenty of room for a small camera, wallet, and phone along with any other small items pne always need in their purse.

On the go

I wanted to change out my threadbare crossbody purse and went with something twice the size, as a wristlet/crossbody bag was the bare minimum of what I carry. I like the crossbody design but still getting used to a larger bag; it's not heavy but I notice it more than my previous purse. It's super well made and I know this bag will last, and I appreciate the sustainability of these products. I would have liked a quicker access external pocket for a phone but I understand why this pacsafe product doesn't have one. Just takes a couple seconds more to unzip and get phone, good variety of pockets inside to put it.

Simple bag, lots of function!

At first I wasn’t totally sure I liked the style of the bag, but after about a week of using it I started to see how great it actually is. I am an offsite employee during the summer and end up working at a variety of locations... this bag is the perfect size to carry around with my essentials and sometimes extra items like my kindle. It’s light enough I can wear it on my shoulder for hours without pain and feels really secure and out of the way when I’m working. I do wish there was a better way to attach a water bottle to it though. So far I’ve just been hooking it on the strap, which works for now but will wear out the strap faster... that’s really my only complaint about it though.

handy but not necessary

I have used this product for about one month. It is a handy travel pack but my partner's purse and / or my regular backpack are sufficient for what the Pacsafe MetroSafe can handle. It is not large enough to carry a bottle of water, which I find to be essential with traveling. The MetroSafe can only handle a little more than what I can get into my pants pockets. We recently took it on a 24 day road trip to Alaska and was a good place to keep the family's five passports and Canadian currency. The RFID shield provided some peace of mind. I do not think we would have missed the MetroSafe if we did not have it, but for travelers who do carry-on bags often, this might make a good "purse" alternative. The inner side, bottom edge of the MetroSafe is very stiff and may cause chafing on some users, but I did not carry it around long enough to make a sufficient determination. The packaging was ridiculously large and ironically had a pamphlet about saving the oceans.

Style, functionality, and great updated features

As a frequent traveler, I've owned several PacSafe items over the years, including backpacks, portable safes, and purses. I have an older model PacSafe purse that this bag is replacing and noticed immediately that this bag has several fantastic updates, such as sturdy zipper keepers that are easier to fasten when the bag is full and better waterproofing, which is a big plus for those rainy days when you don't want the contents of your bag to get wet. The bag fit everything I needed and is big enough for a small tablet, camera, AND my flexible water pouch. As someone who is also into reducing my impact, I also love that this model is made from recycled ocean plastic! I can only hope that more manufacturers will adopt this idea.

Great for travel and every day use

I love this little bag! Bought it for a 3-week trip to Europe last year and it has become my go-to bag while at home too. It fits everything I need: glasses + case, small wallet, mask, phone, keys. And a bunch of little things like a pen, bandaids, hand sanitizer.
