Pacsafe EXP 12 Sling
Was very excited when I received this bag. I have an older Pacsafe daybag and the new one would be a lot easier to carry around. Watched many reviews, I myself found it quite simple and easy to use and it’s perfect with the straps on the bottom so I can carry a rain jacket as well. Very roomy and many pockets. Very pleased with the newer security features and style.
Great Bag - Needs One Thing…
Bought this bag to replace a Pacsafe Vibe 325 and even though both bags are called out as 10 liter bags, this one feels so much bigger! The tablet/laptop compartment is big enough for my iPad Air with a case to fit comfortably, and the main compartment has plenty of room for my Switch or SteamDeck plus all the other stuff I keep in my EDC like charging cables, flash drives, adapters, and chargers. The only thing it’s missing that would make it absolutely perfect for me is a stabilizer strap for when I need to keep it up on my back and not in a crossbody carry.
Great Size
I tried several Pacsafe bags and found them to be a bit tight for my frame. This strap was more than big enough to fit me, and I love that I can wear it as a side bag or cross-body bag. Size-wise, it's on the bigger size but not obnoxiously big.
Great Sling!
Great sling bag! I finally found one that was big enough for my needs. I like to carry a full frame Sony A74 once in a while and 12 liters is just right for that. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn’t is a small pocket on the back for a passport or wallet. Other than that it’s pretty much the perfect sling for me. YMMV
Great bag - one suggestion
I purchased the bag primarily for air travel as my personal item. Its compartments and security are spot on, as are the different ways the bag can be carried. I own multiple Pacsafe items, and this is a new favorite. If they come out with an upgrade to this bag, I would ask that they consider a luggage slip so that the bag can be slipped onto a rolling carryon or suitcase. Otherwise it is quite close to perfection!
Good travel bag, and works as a small camera bag.
I have used a number of sling and shoulder bags from Pacsafe and other manufacturers, for daily use, for travel, and for street/travel photography. While I have the EXP 12, my use so far is minimal, so bear that in mind. I got this bag primarily for US and international travel, where I like to have a secure bag to carry valuables that I need to have with me, plus street photography equipment: a small mirrorless camera (Fujifilm XT5) with three small prime lenses. It is the camera gear that persuaded me to get this larger bag. I've tested it with the camera and it fits well with a small lents attached, and ther's plenty of room for for th additional lenses, along with things like passport, wallet, phone, smaller charger and/or batteries, a glasses case, other odds and ends. For flights I also add things that I don't want to put in my regular luggage — medications, additional cables and chargers, and an 11" iPad Pro. There's plenty of room for the iPad in the padded pocket, with room left over for a few other things if necessary. Some reviewers say that the security "lock" on the "front" pocket zipper is too hard to open, but once you see how it is done it really isn't a problem. (Keep in mind that having to take extra steps to open the zippers is intentional — it slows down a potential thief.) I find the strap to be quire comfortable in the sling position, with the bag in front or in back. There is an abundance of little pockets and places to tuck things away. If anything, there might almost be too many o them. Access to the main compartment is easy via a top zipper that goes all the way across the bag, which is important for my photography use.
