Super comfortable and very flattering.

I, like many, have found my 40's and the whole Covid WFH period of time to be challenging to my waistline. I commend vendors like REI and clothing makers like Columbia for providing us active folks (who tend to fall on times of gained weight) with flattering, comfortable and "familiar" fabrics/feels. Keeps ya feeling your best while you work to trim the excess and be forgiving to yourself while rolling with some significant social and age-prompted hurdles in physical wellness!

Too tight

I purchased these based on the reviews and they are so tight and not true to size. I read they stretch and go buy a size down, which I did NOT do. I purchased my size and they are true inseam but not US size 22W. These would snuggly fit as a size 20

First time wearing pants like this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed something versatile, light and water absorbing/blocking for my trek through the Amazon. I found these pants true to size (very roomy in the rear which was great), and just long enough - I'm 5'10", 220 lbs. I appreciated the convertible roll up feature and position/type of pockets too. These pants should be worn in warmer climates.

Saturday trail II pants, stitching issue, but great customer service!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Saturday Trail stretch pants and bought them in a size 16W & 18W to wear base layers under in northern AZ this winter. Never had any problems with prior pairs I own except some pilling at the thigh area. The 18W pair however, had stitching coming out at the hem, thigh and pocket area. It was not seen by me until the first washing. I was going to return and was given authorization to do so.... however another trip came up and I needed them ASAP. Repaired myself as best I could by hand. These are great pants and Columbia was willing to take care of the issue no problem, but I could not do without them until the replacement arrived.

Not the same sizing as the capris

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'8" and 200 lbs.I love the capri's. I'm currently in the 18W. The capris are great because they are cut generously in the thighs and knee. I first ordered 20W in these pants - baggy all over. Reordered as 18W. These fit in the hips but are bordering on tight. The legs are very tight and the material is thin. It is very tight in the knee, you can see every buldge in the knee. I have straight thighs -thick but no bulges. I'm not keeping these. There is a huge sizing difference between 18W & 20W. These need more room in width in the legs. The pants that convert with a zipper are even worse - leg width is awful. These don't shrink.

Who designed these pants?

There are a lot of good things about these pants, such as lightweight fabric and decent fit for me. However, I have to ask who designed this? Did the designer actually wear the pants? Or look at someone wearing them? There are three main problems: 1. The pocket opening is so large, that nothing will stay in it, not even a tissue if you actually move in them. I had to sew up the bottom so that I could carry something in the pocket without worrying that it would fall out while walking, and almost certainly while sitting. 2. The roll-up feature is nice, but the snap system requires three hands to clear the fabric from over the snap and then actually snap it into place. It can be done with only two hands, but with some difficulty and several tries. 3. The legs are freakishly long. I wanted to like these pants, and I am keeping these, but I can't see buying more of something where I have to take up the legs and modify the pockets.

No Stretch in Waist

I wanted to love these pants. I am plus size petite and it is so hard finding pants that fit. The pants are stretchy except for the waist! Why?? The legs and booty were too big but the waist was ok. If I size down the waist will be too small but the legs and booty would be ok. Why being plus size would there be no give to the waist?? Just makes no sense to me. I will be returning these, unfortunately. I wish they would make waist bands as stretchy as the legs and rest of the pants. Just some type of stretch. Also, I am 5'2 (almost) and they are still a little long but acceptable if they had fit elsewhere. The button was broken also when I got them so that doesn't scream quality.

The most comfortable hiking pants I wear every day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally pants that fit my plus size and so comfortable I wear them every day! They were a little long for me, I'm 5'7" but I fold them up once and I'm good. These are thin and light enough for spring and summer and excellent for camping. And I noticed while hiking in a little bit of rain that the rain just beads off the pants. The only thing I would complain about with these pants is the inside where the button rubs against my belly it's sharp so it scratches. I've been planning to sew a little bit of material over those buttons so I don't have the scratching anymore I just haven't got to it yet.

Bought for group tour travel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these after researching all the water resistant pants I could find. I love all the features about them. The omni-shield was most important to me along with light weight for travel and of course comfort. They are so comfortable you almost forget you have pants on. My only disappointment is that they look nicer with pressing. Especially if you roll them up for crop pants. I am 5'2" with a 28" inseam so the 29.5" inseam for the short version is too long for me so I have to roll the cuffs up and the cuffs looks better when pressed. That matters when you are travelling with a tour group. Also I had to return the 1st pair because they were too large. The next size down fit perfectly.

Run very small.

Not cool Columbia how you changed sizes. I have gained weight thanks to health issues. I ordered the same Sat pants as my favorite old pair, size 16. Plus size 18 was too small. When I pulled out my old pair - they are almost the same size!! The material is also very different, with no stretch at all and way too thick for summer hiking pants. Fat girls like to hike too, fix your sizing!!
