Best In Class By Far

After 25 years of buying this product I know why it is such a hard product to find and buy...the shoe companies hate Aquaseal (formerly known as FreeSole) because it makes shoes last months longer. I play an A game of tennis and the toes and heels are the first to go. But after applying Aquaseal they are good for another 3 weeks. I can usually get three applications per tube so, I can lengthen the life of the shoe by 9 weeks at a minimum. Nike and adidas make sure that the only shoe repair in sporting goods stores in Shoe-Goo which doesn't work very well on high performance shoes.

Likely Single Use Product

Worked as promised but, should be sold in smaller tubes as once opened the clock is ticking as the product begins setting (hence the 3 stars)

Product works as stated. Once you open it, it will have a limited shelf life before the remaining glue solidifies. I have found that you can extend the shelf life appreciably by keeping the tube in the freezer between uses.

Worked well with full instructions

Worked well after completely following the instructions. I had a small tear in my wetsuit that did not go all the way through. I did not clean the tear with alcohol the 1st time, nor did I apply all the way to 1/4" past the tear. Read the complete instructions that come with it, not just the ones on the tube. After reapplyiny the 2nd time and applying CORRECTLY, it worked great. I let it cure overnight, I did not buy the acceleratant. Wore it a few days later for a triathlon and held up well. I'd definitely purchase again.

Nemo air mattress repair

I had a pin hole in my Nemo air mattress. Fortunately, the pin hole was not on a seam. My first step was to place a small dot of the aquaseal over the pinhole. I had slightly inflated the mattress to be sure no sealant could go through the hole and glue the top and bottom together. After the sealant dried, I applied the material patch that came with the air mattress. I placed the patch on a piece of paper and spread a thin layer of aquaseal on it. Then, I placed the patch over the puncture area and smoothed it out with my finger. The REI person suggested placing a weight on the patch, but, I didn't because I was concerned that any sealant the may squish out from under the patch would glue the weight to the mattress. Just slept on the mattress for three nights and had no leaks.

Great for repairing waders!

This stuff has been great to fix pinholes in my fishing waders. It’s a lot cheaper at REI than any fishing shop.
