Great Paddle
Great paddle! Sturdy but light. Why did I wait so long to up grade
worth the money!
I bought the paddle 3 months ago, and it is my favorite paddle I have ever purchased. Very light weight, feels very solid while paddling for hours. Easy to adjust on the go. Very easy to disassemble when packing up. Only wish the paddle came with case so that it is protected on the go.
Upgrading to this paddle was a game-changer
This really is an excellent paddle, which I would give 4.5 stars if I could. I'm taking off the 1/2 star for just a little bit of flutter on the stroke. It's not enough to majorly decrease my paddling efficiency, and everything else about this paddle compensates for that. Plus, even though I am a very experienced distance paddler, I cannot rule out user error contributing to the slight flutter. This is my first higher end paddle, so the difference between this and the typical 3-piece paddles that come with a SUP is truly gigantic - like "why did I wait so long to upgrade" gigantic. I guarantee that, if you're jumping up to this paddle from a stock paddle, you will be very happy. Just the decrease in paddle weight will change your life. I should note that I don't find the adjustment lever in the handle to bother me at all, even when I'm not wearing gloves. I know some people are concerned it could cause chafing, but it doesn't at all. Also, if you're like me and obsessing about what size blade to get, my old stock paddle was around 105 square inches, give or take. I am SO glad I chose the Zen 95. The strain on my shoulders/trapezius from pulling against less surface area is noticeably less, but I don't feel like I'm not moving enough water. And I can up my cadence without getting tired. It's the perfect size. Bottom line: buy this paddle and the chance of regret should be slim to none.
Lightweight paddle
I like this paddle because it's lightweight yet responsive. I'd bought a lighter paddle but the stroke wasn't a clean, stable stroke. I think it was due to its lightweight.
