Great design, poor quality assembly.
I bought this and had it for 6 weeks. I use it everyday to take to work and some on the weekends. I went to the car the other day to get a bottle of water. It was about 61 degrees and the car was parked partially under a tree for shade. The windows on my car are tinted, so it stays pretty cool. I noticed the lid which is green was peeling up on both ends. There was a piece of basic rubber foam under it for insulation. Nothing super high tech. I pushed the "vinyl" green top back down. A few days later it came back up. I am very disappointed in the build quality. On another note, it did keep things colder longer and maintained ice longer than my Yeti Hopper 12. It's a shame because this was so much better to open than the yeti. Maybe they will figure it out one day.
Plastic Clip Closure Too Delicate
This cooler has so much promise. It keeps food really cold and even frozen for a number of hours if packed correctly. Its main shortcoming--the plastic clip closure. It is too delicate. I have been really careful to not knock it, and yet when I opened it recently to pack for a trip--the clip broke. This is not the first time, Otterbox was very good and helped replace my first cooler top that broke. It needs to be a part that you can order online current for repair and in future designs--change the clip closure from plastic to another more durable material like a metal rod and metal closure. I hate to throw out things that otherwise work perfectly. Very disappointing.

Did not last long: latch broke & top peeling off
For the price of this product, I would have expected it to last more than 3 years, especially since we only used it once a week in the summer, never at other times of the year. I have added the photo of what it looks like now - it should speak for itself. We did like the size and design as we used it a lot for getting out on our pontoon during Minnesota summers.
My favorite soft cooler
Awesome soft cooler. My first one was stolen so I bought another! The latch is a huge selling point…. No crazy hard zipper to open and close. High quality materials used everywhere.
This is perfect for car travel
I had been looking at multiple brands for a cooler in the car that would do a great job of keeping things cold, while still being easy to open. I actually returned another brand as the zipper was difficult to operate and way too hard to open when underway. I LOVE this cooler! I had a 9+ hour drive by myself. Put this on the passenger seat, and was able to access it while driving for drinks/snacks - the latch is reasonably easy to operate (have to pull it out a bit to lock it back in place). Did a great job at keeping things cold as well. Very happy with this purchase.
It needs better and stronger open handle
The whole cooler is well may 8 just for the handle on mine is already crack and I'm only being used 4 times

Nice Cooler
I got my cooler in January 2018 as a gift, but hadn't used it until a recent (Mar 2018) road trip to Dallas. Overall, it kept the drinks cold and the ice stayed for 2 days while the cooler sat in the car in 80 degree weather. On the 3rd day it was brought into the room and while all the ice had melted, the melted ice water and drinks were still very cold. The strap on the cooler was comfortable while carrying the cooler into the hotel, with all our other stuff. The only draw back is the latch on the lid and opening it. It takes a moment to figure out how to lock it, and not sure if the cooler being new made the lid stick, or if it's intentionally that snug, making it hard to open. Overall, I'm liking my cooler and can't wait to take it out on the boats.
User Unfriendly
First use I filed my new Otterbox Trooper 20 with beverages and poured an entire 10# bag of ice over them and in 1.5 days there was almost no ice, just a chest full of water with no way to empty it other than removing all beverages first, pouring it out and replacing beverages back into otterbox trooper 20. Keep in mind this cooler was NOT opened and closed repeatedly as we had a fridge as well. There should be a drain plug at the base so you don't have to empty box of beverages before draining.

Great product…some small issues
Overall design and durability looks great. Kept drinks cold for a couple days. There was an issue with the attachment hook on one side coming loose when I connected the can holder attachment. I had to purchase a marine adhesive and glue the hook securely. Also some delaminating of the material on the top panel which I had to glue down to stop it from lifting. Still love the overall design, just frustrating having to make repairs to a new purchase that wasn’t cheap.

I just wanted to say thank you to the folks at Otterbox. If you look at the reviews of this product you will find more than one comment about the weak or broken handle. Not to worry! This was my issue after owning the cooler for over a year. The handle broke, I called customer service, they sent me a complete replacement of the product. It’s refreshing to experience a company that stands 100% behind their products. Because if this I would be happy to recommend them.
