Needs to be staked out
When you stake out your tent for max room inside the footprint will fit properly, or close to. If you have to get your tent up quick and you can't stake it out then the footprint straps with the grommets and the long sides will be too long. You also have to keep in mind that the outdoors is not flat like your living room, so you will lose some slack on uneven ground. Gave it 4 stars because it's close but not perfect.
tent protection and setup otions
I purchased the footprint to protect my new tent and to allow using just the fly and footprint where bugs aren't an issue. The footprint and fly work well together however, with the tent the footprint grommets are placed to far out on the straps and will not pull the footprint tight, it falls off the poles.
Protects tent floor but is cumbersome
I use it and won’t bother returning it because of its price and probably nothing better. But it is too wide and really annoying as it comes off the grommets rings easily and gets caught under the tent if moving it. Had it been designed well to fit and be taught it would be a great addition and idea. It’s half as effective as it could be. Please remeasure and don’t do the same with other tent footprints. Get it right. Can’t be that hard?
Why wouldn’t you?
It’s the right size and shape for the tent to prevent rain puddling, it helps prevent premature floor wear, and for the win, the grommets on the footprint secure the poles so the fly can be set up before the tent goes in, allowing it to stay drier inside when pitching it in a rainstorm.
Loose but fixable
I found this to be very loose, it did not fit the tent properly. However I wrapped the long edges around the base once and then clipped it in, fit snug and was fine
It’s a tent footprint
It’s a footprint and it fits the named tent. That is all.
