Great Hiking boot

We are avid hikers and my son has worn his for 5+ months now. We are typically out 2-4 hours at a time. We will hike on/off trails and he will play/climb/explore. We paired them with Smartwool socks thru the winter and he never complained about cold feet. Waterproof label held up well as long as he didn't enter the water deeper than the tops of the shoes. We are big fans of Plae, but these were our first boots. My son loves that they do not slow him down. With the flexible sole, he is able to go from running to climbing easily. Tread is still great after months of use! For reference, my son is 4, plays hard and only knows one speed.

Plae

Good shoes- daughter managed to rip off the metal that holds down the strap- She falls down a lot so that might have been a factor. She's tough on shoes. Called Plae and they were very good at replacing quickly. Otherwise, the shoes look really nice quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Not durable

My five year old wore them to school daily for 2 months. They developed hole in the side, so they were no longer waterproof. We will try a different brand next time.

Love!

This is our second pair of Kaidens from Plae! My daughter LOVES these shoes and I love the durability! Her first pair still looks brand new after a year and a half of wear out on the trails and splashing in mud puddles! Just wash or wipe clean! These are still a little big yet, but shes so excited that shes already wearing them!

Great lightweight hikers for kids

We love all our Plae shoes, and the Kaiden is no exception. Lightweight and the soles are grippy but not clunky - perfect for kids. I’d reach for them too if they came in my size!
