returned this shoe because it fit too long. I normally take a size 10 Salomon but this style had a longer toe box.just size 1/2 down
This is my first pair of Trail running shoes. I loved the fit, and how light it feels when I was running. The bottom gives enough support but not feeling too hard. Color is cuter in real than in the picture. I am very happy with the purchase.
When you first put these shoes on the fit feels "off" and the sides a little bare. However, after a day of breaking then in, my first hike to follow was comfortable. Gripping the ground was perfect with no rocks getting stuck in them. Going over smooth rocks was also easy without feeling slippery.
I bought these for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves them. Super light weight and they fit true to size. She couldn't be happier.
Love salomon, sturdy shoes, however the sense pro 2 were far too narrow had to return them. They felt super snug and felt great when first trying them on but when running both outer toes went numb, loosened the laces several times but still too tight.
light weight and good support. felt great for trail run.
I have been training in a gym on a treadmill for the first time in my life the past couple of months. I was totally at a loss as to what kind of shoe to wear indoors on a hamster wheel. These have been fabulous for my training and for HIIT exercising. They are comfortable straight out of the box, they grip and are solid during a dynamic workout. I've also hit the pavement with these and they also deliver for everyday running/jogging. I love the lacing system and it stays in place without fail. Very happy with these!
I wanted a shoe with less bulk, less aggressive tread, and a lower differential than my Salomon Speedcross 3's for drier trail runs and tamer OCRs. These were exactly that. I had a pair of Inov-8 X-Talon 235's (the older blue/green style) and they were too small to begin with and shrinking from the dried mud and washes after OCRs, so I needed to replace them. While the Sense Pro 2's have less aggressive tread than the X-Talons and are not as hard on the bottom, they are super light, comfy, and have survived Goliathon, Savage Race, and a whole Spring and Summer of training runs in PA in both dry and flooded conditions. They have a high resistance to mud, as long as you rinse them afterwards. I hope to use them through another Savage Race, trail Ragnar, and training runs this fall, but if a good sale price pops up, I will be buying another pair to have as backup should these wear out before (or during!) the Ragnar. I wear a size 7 in the Speedcross 3's and had to bump down to a 6.5 for these, still with plenty of room in the toe box to splay.
First, absolutely love these now that I have the right size. I have a B width foot and usually a 6.5 - 7 in US sizing. Or usually a 37 in Euro. I wish I had gone by the euro sizing to begin with. I bought a 6.5 (euro size 38) and they were too long for technical trail running. Yes I wanted room in front of my toes but not so much that they felt sloppy. Exchanged for a 6 which is a euro size 37.3, and there is still room in front of my toes for downhills but a much better fit so much foot doesn't slide around when trying to navigate roots and rocks. A half to a full size down was right for me with a B width foot. The rubber and the lugged soles are excellent on slippery trail surface, here on the coast of Maine the trails are covered in leaf litter, exposed granite, and tons of roots. I've never had a problem with traction. Comfortable, well made, color is even better in person, I really love them.
This shoe has quite literally changed my life. No longer do I fear scrambles along my trail run as these grip and give traction to anything! they are so comfortable and incredibly light weight for their durability. I highly highly recommend. Oh...and the color is awesome too :)
