Sturdy, yet comfortable. Smooth ride. Easy setup.
Phenomenal. Easier to manage than a hard shell, and more comfortable and tracks lighter and rides smoother, too! Fits like a glove. Lots of room, with seating versatility. Extremely well constructed, super easy setup, great sense of safety. Convenient. Worth every penny! Heavier than it seems, but manageable. Buy Aquaglide pump. Specs printed on boat make it a breeze for perfect inflation. Take Phillipshead screwdriver with you for fin installation. Love it! If you’re looking for a solid kayak, inflatable or not, this boat is a dream!

So far so good. I had the aquaglide columbia before and after it popped I decided to upgrage. This kayak is easy to inflate with 12V automatic inflators, inflates in less than 5 minutes. Tracks very well since it's a hard bottom. Me and my wife really like to take it to lakes, we really like that you can arrange the seats however you want. When hanging out, we usually face the chairs to each other. We took it to a class1-2 river once and the water level was not as high, so we scraped the bottom a little, but there was no damage to the boat, so good quality I guess.
Great Boat - Great REI - but...
Just a note - I bought this boat about 3 years ago through REI (a LONG time member) - When I went to use it this past weekend - virtually all of the upper nylon webbing straps failed. I started to adjust a seat strap and the webbing anchor on the hull just separated. Then the seat strap itself. Then another on the front seat. By that time it was obvious I would not be able to paddle the boat (without any seat back supports.) So I checked the other anchor points and straps and they all failed. You could just tear the straps like a sheet of heavy cloth. This boat had been used about half a dozen times over those 3 years and had been packed most of that time. Limited time left out in the sun. Only one salt water use and I’m adamant about fresh water rinsing all my gear. I contacted Aquaglide and all they said was - It’s past our warranty, we’ll give you 10% off a boat on our website. They didn’t even offer any repairs - paid for or not. I was seriously disappointed. While it was a good boat to paddle and plenty of room for us and our Golden Retriever, we were basically left with a useless boat after only 3 years. Sad. The happy footnote is - I contacted REI online and they suggested I go to the store. Unbelievably (except for maybe REI) they gave me full store credit for the boat. Far more than I expected. So, now I’m in search of another boat, but likely won’t be an Aquaglide - as much for their treatment and response as for the failure itself. John
great option for large dogs
Got rid of our sit on top high end rigid kayak as it was unstable with large dog. This kayak is amazing. Super comfortable seats. Stable with 90 lb dog and tracks well. Surprisingly fast with higher pressure floor board. Shocked at how good this kayak is. Initially had low expectations for inflatable but those expectations have been proven wrong.
Nice boat!
I bought this as I acquired a soon to be large dog. It has exceeded my expectations. Tracks fairly well, very stable, roomy for me and the dog, material holds up to dog nails, reasonably easy to set up and haul around. I needed a longer 240mm paddle.
Great inflatable!!
We've taken this out with us on 3-4 trips now and we really love it. Inflates and deflates fast (even by hand) and feels very durable. Wife (5'9") and I (6'0") fit comfortably and we have room for dry bags and cooler (yeti hopper 30). It seems to have a good balance of tracking and maneuverability. So far we are very happy. I didn't give a 5 because of backpack. It's flimsy and has already separated at one of the seems.
