Faulty buckle comes right off
I was skeptical about these due to dubious reviews, but an REI rep told me SealLine is a very reputable company. I’m sure that’s been true in the past. BUT, the new buckles being used on these bags are NOT made by the same manufacturer as previously. Once the bags were loaded, I couldn’t pick up the bags at the top because the buckle came right apart. Basically, if it was merely touched more than gently, it comes undone. Super non-comforting when you’re going to be moving around in a kayak or canoe or whatever. A different REI rep checked them out when I returned the two bags I’d just bought and confirmed the same. Faulty and cheaper buckles. Shame on SealLine.
Broken seam
I bought this bag for a canoe and camp trip. When I got home and opened it I saw the seam was open on the base. It seemed poorly made anyway so I drove back and returned it for the sea to summit big river. I've always had good experiences with them and it delivered this time as well.
Good, but...
Waterproof. No good way to carry. Needs handle, or better Straps
Really impressive
I realize this might not be exactly the same product I bought but this is as close as this brand still produces. Originally bought it for a fishing trip to Canada around 2005 and I still use the same bag today to store gear as a wildland firefighter. This thing has been through a lot and is probably the oldest piece of gear I still use. I honestly just appreciate being able to rely on it
Great Product Great Value
When my friend said we were hiking The Narrows and needed to keep our gear dry (since we'd be waist high in water in some places) I immediately found these products on line and bought them. I was not disappointed. The cost was solid for the quality of product, they arrived quickly and served their purpose well. That they also look good? Bonus.
Best in the biz!
Seal Line is simply the best! Great materials- lightweight yet strong, and they do what they are designed to do- keep water out! Whether its my job in the backcountry, or personal trips, I count on Seal Line to keep my stuff dry! Simple design, awesome color-ways, quality buckles and straps- I cannot recommend Seal Line highly enough!
Rain/Snow/Mud
Finally had to replace my heavy duty Alaska purchased dry bag, was a great huge dry bag that had shoulder straps for carrying, served me well. This new bag will be nice but not as heavy duty nor shoulder straps for carry. Will see if it last the 30 yrs of the old dry bag. Probably not.
Love these dry bags, they are super practicle!
Love these dry bags. They are durable and simple. If you do different activities including kayaking, hiking, motorcycling, you name it...but an assortment of different sizes as these bags always come in handy. I highly recommend these.
Lacking
The size of the bag is nice, but folding the bag down is tough. Two of my friends bought the same bag and all cane to the same conclusion, it needs a nylon strap at the top to grip when folding. Our cheap $8 bag was way better.
A good bag, that can easily be made better
I have to 50L version, and this bag doesn't disappoint. I added 4 dring hooks to this bag with HH-66 adhesive and now I have a myriad of options to carry the bag too. Very durable, and 3 rolls provides a very tight seal.
