As others have stated, this is a must for car camping, concerts, or any other outdoor events! We bought a complete set purchasing 2 lowdown chairs and the matching low-love seat. The seat material has a slight cushion built into it and the cup holder design is great! I was a little cautious of it being a "low" style seat but they're really only 3-4" lower than your average camping chair. Its not difficult to get in or out of and the extra lower seat and slightly reclined back make for a relaxed position that we can't get enough of. No matter where we bring them, our friends and family will always fight over them instead of sitting in their "traditional" camping chairs they brought!

I've used Kelty products for years... this chair has changed my mind on the brand. Not again. We keep these on our RV and they were used MAYBE 15 times within a years time. 1 week after the 1 year warranty expired one of them decided to completely fail. Cheap metal sheared in half at a crucial location. We have the love-seat and it is made with heavier gauge "tubing". These chairs look nice in the store but they're junk. 1 year and 1 week... Kelty and REI have washed their hands of them... ZERO warranty support. Ironically our 7 year old (insert cheap, well known, big box retailer name here) are still working great and for 1/3 the price.

Broke on the first use

As a Southern California firefighter looking for a good chair to keep in fire Camp I was excited for this purchase, that was until it broke on the first assignment and I was left sitting on the ground for the rest of the trip. Poor quality and poor rivet placement cause this quite comfortable chair to fall apart quickly.

I love this chair! I'll admit I didn't realize when I bought it that it was a low rider.. but its amazing! Love the carrying case, it's easy to fold up and put back into it, way easier than those you have to slide in and we use the case as a dog bed when we're using the chairs. The cup holder is on point, they don't mention a little divider that will hold a cup snug in the largely sized compartment! The chair is great, especially for the price, one of the cheaper chairs and I'm sure one of the best!

This chair is perfect for any beach, camp or festival setting. Because of the iron frame, it is re-assuring for getting up from a seated position because of the front arm support which helps you in raise up easily. The slightly cushion canvas seating is comfortable and sturdy. A pouch for drinks on one side is great. The only additional thing I wish it had would be a back pouch for holding small items like, keys, light sweaters, gloves, etc. Thanks so much for your product! Val P.

Comfy but short lived

I loved this chair and how it sits so close to the ground. It was perfect for lounging around the fire so it always came camping with me. Unfortunately this time the arm snapped off while setting up camp the first night, so I was stuck sitting on the cooler all weekend. The materials seemed sturdy so I expected it to last more than a year and a half. I'm guessing that's why they only have a one year warranty on Kelty furniture. Will be switching to another brand.

Great chair - especially if you are short. Chair is relatively low to the ground (compared to "standard" chairs), which makes it more comfortable for me (I'm 5" tall). Easy to pack and unpack.

We purchased 2 chairs for amphitheater seating requiring low back chairs.These are just as heavy as their highback cousins, but they are heavy duty, (we're larger sized people, so we needed this feature). Nice divided cup holder,so there's a place for your phone/smokes as well. The included carrier made the chairs easy to pack up and haul out.

Great for car camping!!! It’s durable and comfortable. Not for most if you don’t like a low chair. It’s not ground level by any means but finds a happy medium compared to a standard chair. I also like the insulation in cup holder as well as the fact that it holds two beverages, ya know, if you are ready for another but not quite finished with first! ;)
