Good multi use pack for the long haul.

I use this for just about everything- long trail runs where there's no water fill-ups, full on day hikes in the mountains, mountain biking, and long road bike rides. I haven't had any issues at all and I've been all over the Central and Northern Sierras with this thing. It fits just snug enough and I can adjust it if tries to flop around with a fleece in there. Haven't figured out the hiking pole placement just yet, but I only needed it once. I didn't have the money to get this and a vest for trips when I didn't need the pack, so I end up using this as my go to for all my activities and I haven't been disappointed. It's pricey, but I'm happy with it.

Great Multi-Sport Pack!

This pack has been used and abused, and it’s still holding up! I originally bought it as a way to safely carry a small camera bag while on a run, but it’s become my daily pack for run commutes or cycling to work. I can’t get over how much this pack holds, and I feel like I can charge down a mountain without a compromise in performance. It holds weight a bit lower than the ADV Skin series, and the straps sometimes loosen, but it’s the pros and cons of a OSFA system. If you want a pack for multi-sport purposes and you can treat like a rented mule, I’d highly recommend the Skin Pro.

Skin Pro 15 Set

The Skin Pro 15 Set is a great pack for long exploration runs and hikes. It has a securely zipped backpack-style area that will hold extra clothes, headlamp, food, etc., without fear of the items falling out. It also has a separate opening to insert a 2-litre bladder, which is extremely useful for refilling the bladder without having to empty out the contents of the pack. The Skin Pro also has pockets in the front for easy access to hydration flasks, food or other small items. You can also securely fasten hiking poles if needed. This is a versatile and lightweight pack.

Great pack for high country hiking

I pack a lot of stuff for my high country treks. I got this pack for my husband to wear on our long run/hikes in the mountains. He loves it, and we are able to pack a lot in it!

Far too big for women otherwise seems to be great!

I was so happy with the capacity and function of the pack as it is perfect for what I'm looking for and I haven't found anything as good....however it does not adjust enough to fit small women (I am about a UK size 8-10 so not exactly petite and I tried it over very bulky clothes). The straps over the shoulders do not sit on the body and the pack sags down at the back as you can't pull it forward enough with the toggle adjustments. I'd really love it if they make this exact pack but with a closer fitting profile for women.

Due to the one size fits all design of the pack the sizing has been designed to accommodate as many sizes as possible, however we understand that this may not be the perfect fit for all customers. We always encourage customers to try the products on for size to ensure that they are happy and comfortable with the fit before using them and they can always be returned for a refund if the item is not right for the customer. You review and feedback will be taken into consideration in future design and development.

One size doesn’t fit all

I bought this looking for a higher volume pack for sone light overnights. It did hold all my minimal gear. Tarp, bivvy, sleeping bag, jacket, food, etc... the drinking tube coming up from the bottom does mean it’s right at your mouth, but also that it’s poking you in the face. The side pockets are hard to reach, and the one that’s open on both ends is useless except to shove a jacket in. I really wanted to like this pack, I need one like it badly. I could deal with that, but the fit is where the real problem is. I’m 5’8” 155lbs, this pack just seems too small in that all attempts to make it fit snugly just seem to result in pullung the sides back further, rather than pulling the pack up further. If it fits your body it is a well made pack and has some good features,

Thank you for your feedback Our apologies for the issue with your Salomon Running Vest. We manufacture with the intent of maximum efficiency, which includes finding a balance between many attributes such as durability and lightweightness. Unfortunately, manufacturing defects can occur however our warranty policy should have you covered. It is very rare for these defects to occur so we trust a replacement would not suffer the same problem. You can choose any vest from our collection if accepted. Size is a difficult thing to judge as everone is different. We recommend vests to be tight but in this case it seems too tight. We have the 30 day free returns policy for this reason. The straws should not be poking you in the eye either, this is not a common issue. Perhaps they are too long. We have a two year warranty, and we usually just require some photos for this. If you believe there to be manufacturing defects with you product our warranty department can analyze the issues further. not usable as commuter pack

Tried this out to run commute. Due to the "one size fits all" design it ends up being unusable. Had small laptop and change of clothes and a five mile commute. All of the tension adjustments for fit were lost by the first half mile. The design of the vest is good but it needs to be sold in sizes. It was a sucky 4 plus miles of the pack chaffing and slapping against me. Was hoping to use as a fastpack as well but I will be returning this and trying a UD vest instead

The mountain runners day pack

I bought this pack to use for longer (6+ hr) runs where I need more than just water and nutrition to stay safe. The capacity of the Skin Pro 15 fits plenty of bars, fleece, wind breaker, water filter, and any extra gear you may need for longer run in the mountains. I love that the straps are mesh and breather really well. I find that I get hot and sweat more easily that others but I never felt to hot in this pack. I also like the different pocket options for keeping everything organized and easy to access on the fly. The only thing I wasn't crazy about with this pack is that the mouth piece isn't super secure and bounces on my neck or gets stuck in my hair. Maybe there is a solution to this that I haven't figured out yet. If you're looking for a pack for long days in the mountains where traveling light is still a priority then the Skin Pro 15 is the pack for you.

Inaccurate description wasted my time and money.

I ordered taking REI at their word that this item is adjustable to fit a wide variety of shapes and size. Not true. When I unpacked it, it is clearly marked by Salomon as a S/M. Consulting the sizing charts shows that this shouldn't fit me, and guess what? It doesn't because it's too small. Satisfaction Guarantee is great but poor product description shouldn't be the reason for a return.

Alright, for what it is....

This is one bouncy little bag, it jumps around on your back as you run.....there definitely need to be more pockets in it, at least a smaller pocked inside, or on the outside would have been nice. The small pocket on the bottom strap is so wide that things sink into the far depths of the straps, making it impossible to retrieve them on the fly. this product is over-rated.
