FANTASTIC... With a few Mods

This is absolutely the PERFECT vest for me with slight "modifications". As other folks mentioned as it comes, the bungees for the bottles have just a hair less tension than my Salomon adv skin5 and when bottles were less than half full they would slip off the bungees and drop down into bottle pocket. That was a SUPER easy fix by just doing a single overhand loop knot where the bungee attaches to the loop on the vest. Provided the perfect tension and no more bottle drops. I didn't love the extra floppy material on front pockets and while I never lost anything stuff moved and it mad me nervous. I sewed a half inch pleat at the top of the pockets (similar to one already there) to increase the tension at the top which makes it much more secure. Even with my iPhone max and many gels it doesn't bounce and I have no concerns of anything coming out. Now very similar to tension on adv skin 5. I haven't used a quiver but where my lace loops are sewn in they look very secure (also tested with some strong tugs). I suspect on some other reviews the loops were sewn with not enough material on the loop which once the loops frayed internally it gave way. This is a super easy thing to fix if you have or know someone with a sewing machine. But not sure if I have a slightly newer model or if it just had better QC but my loops are solid with over a 1/4" sewn in. The material on this vest is AMAZING and the main reason I chose it. the pocket layout is great for my needs and it is just so comfortable and light. although I don't love having to tinker with an expensive piece of kit to make it perfect it is definitely still worthwhile over other vests simply due to the comfort and pocket layout.

Fits great but has some issues

Vest fits great. It's very comfortable and light. You can pack a lot of items in this vest if needed. The main issue is the bottles slide down. The bottle loops don't work as well as other Salomon vests.

Expensive, lightweight, has a few faults!

I bought this for a 130km race, a nice lightweight bag, looks great and feels really comfy, you don’t reallly notice you’ve got it on. The new bottles that come with it have stained from isotonics after the first use. The bag attracts the dirt very quickly. The key error in the bag design is that the stash pockets on the front are quite saggy, coming down hill quickly I lost a few gels on different occassions as there is no tension on the pockets so things just fly out.

Great vest but .....

I bought the vest and quiver qnd about two miles into the first training run to familiarise my self with its feel on a long run I suffered exactly the same failure on the loop for the toggle to attach to as the two other reviews on here. Absolutely devastating as it's the best fitting vest I've had but really shoddy stiching.

First vest, works as it should

Light weight and solid fit. Everything stays in place on my longer trail runs. I sometimes pack an extra flask on the lady back area and it doesn’t bounce so much that it annoys me. Easy access and enough pockets for my needs. Would move to the 12 for ultras and longer days. I am 6’2” 195 and the large fits great.

Feels Phenomenal!

This is the first water vest I’ve used/worn. Was nervous it’d be uncomfortable, heavy, or loose. Pleasantly surprised by how light it feels, clings right to you so there’s no loose bouncing of the vest, and is very comfortable, even noticeable as you’re wearing it! Great product, would highly recommend!

Awful

Incomparable to the Sense Pro 10, which remains the gold standard. The water bottle pockets are too deep and the elastics don't hold the top of the bottle up. You spend your whole run fishing those out and worrying about what is falling out of the pockets that don't have zippers. Wish I never bought it.

Spacious!

I had no trouble packing all my gear for a 50k in the high mountains without any support. I had issues with the bungy cord that should keep the flasks from sliding in the pocket. But more importantly, there was a strong chlorine aftertaste in the water that comes out of the flasks sold with the pack.

Great storage, lightweight, and comfortable but...

I bought this item for an 110km Ultra and within 40k both loops to attach the pole quiver had snapped. Overall, the quality of the stitching is not very good and the material around the top has already started to rip, I'm not sure how long this product will last or if this is fit for another race.

lightweight & stretchable

This is the only salomon vest I can wear over tanktop, as the material is so soft that it doesn't rub the skin over long distance. The quiver attachments works great. What I don't like about this vest is that the front pockets are so loose that my phone jumps out of the pocket on faster descents.
