Great shirt. Now give us more colors, please.
The A2B Polo Shirt for men is easily now my favorite short-sleeved shirt. The XL fits me perfectly; I'm 6'2", 210lbs., and broad-shouldered. The wool/polyester blend gets it just right, wicking just as well as it regulates temperature. I don't usually go for anything in wool, except socks, as I find even the softest of wools to be scratchy. But I took a chance on this shirt, and it is a pleasant surprise. I now have this shirt in all three currently available colors; I'd like to see several other color options. I'd also like to see this shirt in a long-sleeve version, perhaps adding some of the technical fabric on the elbows and (maybe) forearms, for extra comfort, water resistance and durability.
One of the nicest Polos on the market
FIrstly, I really like fine Merino Wool in my technical and non-technical clothing. I usually purchase Icebreaker and Ibex clothing, but there are some downsides to 100% Merino, mainly pilling. I love the way fine Merino feels in any season. Alabama summers are fine in thin Merino; far superior to cotton. Adding other synthetic fibers to the mix will make the item more durable and does not decrease the super performance of 100% merino, and in fact may make it even better as far as drying and spreading moisture out to a larger surface area to be evaporated. This shirt fits like a dream as long as you have an athletic build. If you are a fatty, this is NOT for you. I'm not so it fits great. I'll probably buy another in a different color. Worth every dollar.
Good Revision
Saw that the A2B underwent a revision and has some new colors so I picked up a couple. The main plus for me is that the shoulder seam is not as boxy as before and conforms to my shoulder better. The contrast shoulder panels are a little bit thinner. Not sure if this will be an issue for those who plan to wear a pack with the shirt regularly (I won't). I like the old button snaps better. The new ones are still hidden on the back of the placket for a clean look, but harder to button. The logo has been moved from center back to bottom left front. I like the more discreet placement. For what I plan to use the shirt for, definitely an overall improvement. Would consider picking up another one if this season still has more colors to come. I'm 6'1", 165, athletic build and the medium fits well, just like before.
Not again
So sad to write that Arc has destroyed another of their best products. Just like the Rampart pants, Arc has taken a great product and changed cut and materials. New cut is fine however the new material is so thin that the black polo I purchase was translucent and see through. Even if the material was Kevlar it's thickness could not provide a reasonable lifespan. Pay attention to dates on the reviews, if a review is possible, its for the old style.
Hello Dave, Thank you for your feedback. Many individuals throughout the company read these reviews, and changes are sometimes made to products as a result, so we appreciate when our customers take the time to let us know what they think. Kind regards,
Sleek, slim fitting, wear anywhere polo
The shirt looks good and sleek, and truly can be worn anywhere from casual Friday at work to a day of scrambling. As seems typical with wool, the fibres are not perfect all round (for example, my shirt fits straight and comfortable, but the right arm sleeve hole is stretchier than the left. I notice this because the left side rides up higher on my arm then the right.)
A very nice polo
Dries quickly and very comfortable. One of my favorite shirts, especially in the summer time. I have the Umber and it keeps its color very well and hasn't aged a bit though I dry it on a hanger after washing. Never shows wrinkles. This shirt is very easy to take care of and is great forntraveling.
My favorite polo
Love this polo for everyday wear. The wool keeps it non stink and the Diem material lets you wear a pack without worrying about any rubbing from the straps. It's a little longer for riding a bike and very comfortable. The large fits great on my 6' 2" and 190 lbs frame.
Great looking. Great fitting
This is a great polo shirt. I love the tech look to it with the combination of different fabrics. I went with the black colour and this shirt transitions well from the office, to post-work hikes to drinks out in the evening. Truly a great all round piece.
Lovely lightweight polo shirt
I really like this shirt its so soft and top quality. Its a very smart looking shirt as you would expect from arteryx. The only fault with it is that it picks up dust particles in the dark colours white dust clings to it so your always brushing them off.
old version was better
The material of the new version feels thinner than the older one. It's nice to wear, but the older version looked better and more professional. Unfortunately no improvement from the old version (which was already a great shirt!)
