Great Catch-All For Travel
I tend to travel long distances and with many stops in between. While I do so, I constantly pull out stuff from my backpack and little messenger bag (e.g. toiletry kit, gadgets, snacks etc.) I have to admit I get pretty lazy stuffing them back into my bags. That's when this little guy comes into the picture later on my journey. I recently had to overnight at HKG Airport (from SFO) to catch my early morning flight to MNL and while killing time, I was so happy I had this catch-all bag with me. I constantly rummage through my bag on long sits looking for human comforts and nutrition and when I'm done with them, I just throw them in this Patagonia tote bag for later use or disposal. Also, it fits wonderfully under the seat that makes my in-flight aids more accessible.
Making toting all my kids stuff more manageable
This is a very simply designed bag. No compartments except a zipper pouch which doubles as the storage pouch when not in use. Tho you will be using this bag all the time. Just used this for a 3 days trip with my kids sightseeing and it held all our items with easy access while touring around town. I loved how light weight the bag was and the straps were a great length (I'm 5'2"). This bag is well on the way to replacing all my other work totes.
Versatile bag that fits everything
I bought the Patagonia Lightweight Black Hole Gear Tote for a family beach vacation. I wanted something that would fold up small in my duffel but expand to carry all our beach gear, and that could handle the sun, sand and salt at the beach. It was also useful for grocery shopping, laundry and as a carry on. Folding it into the pocket takes some practice. My only request would be a zip top to keep everything more secure.
Great for everyday use!
I bought this because I love the Black Hole line from Patagonia, but seldom need the large duffels. This bag is big enough without being too big, has a great flat bottom, is spill-proof, and folds up into its interior pocket for storage! I use for picnics I don't have to worry about grass stains or getting the bag wet from the grass. The flat bottom also fits my large casserole pan, so I can use it for taking food to events as well. I docked it one star because re-folding it into the pouch for storage is difficult (but do-able).
Simple & Simply Awesome
This bag is the ultimate utilitarian tool: feather-light, minuscule when folded & so tough your (ok, my) shoulder will give out first. But it also has an industrial-chic style that means you can pair this up with your Swiss messenger bag and not dilute your look. A statuesque work horse, this is the Helvetica of totes.
Well made, straps slip off shoulder
This is a strong tote, can easily carry lots of stuff. It sits flat on its bottom so its stays wide open for ease of filling up and emptying out. The one problem is the material of the straps. they are smooth and slip off my shoulder. Whether the bag is heavy and full or empty of lightly packed, the straps..slip..off.the.shoulder. Very annoying and a deal breaker. Wouldn't recommend.
Bomber tough bag that I use for everything
I now have two. I use one as my climbing rope bag. The other I use as an all purpose gear bag to transport gear when I am heading somewhere (shoes, helmet, tools, water-bottles, layers, etc), or for groceries. It is big enough and tough enough to carry a 12-pack of bottled root beer and my groceries without feeling like it will break. Yeah it is kind of expensive, but I use it almost every day and it will probably last forever. Now instead of having several reusable (semi-disposable) grocery bags, I now only have this one bag which I really like. Simple!
I love it. It is my every day bag.
Perfect bag for all occasions. I use it for carrying my daily books, etc. and on trips I pack in my suitcase and it serves as a grocery bag, beach bag, etc. After buying myself one I bought 2 for gifts.
Name = no exaggeration
My spouse is great, but getting her any kind of bag is like giving Mikey breakfast: expect rejection. This bag is so light, tough, & spacious, it got full marks from Ms Utilitarian 2018. Stuffs to almost zero. Expands to carry *all* teh stuffs. Tougher than your wrist tendon, so be warned. 12/10 would pet a 3rd time.
the everything bag
I have had this bag for over a year now and it is the best bag I e ever owned. I use it for everything, groceries, gym, traveling, carting stuff in the car, beach. It is lightweight but super durable, packs small in a suitcase but opens up big. The bags rocks as a shopping bag because it holds so much! I would love another, but it still looks brand new! Also the way the material is- you can just hose it off if anything is spilled in it.
