Fancy outdoor piece
I bought this about 6 weeks ago during a member sale. It’s absolutely Beautiful! I love the slim fit! 5’11” and 155, I could have gotten by with the medium but choose the L for layering purposes . During this extreme cold I have layered it underneath my Patagonia down sweater and it’s worked beautifully to keep me warm for hours while enjoying the outdoors. And it’s a really attractive layer to peel down to once it’s time for a bite and a glass of wine at end of day. The Bordeaux color is rich and gorgeous . It’s special . I’m very impressed with this smartwool collection overall. Hoping to add the poncho to my wardrobe !
Love!
This vest is awesome! Super comfortable, stylish, and great layering vest. I took another reviewers advice and sized down so it would be a little more snug for me. Now I'll be able to layer it under coats for the winter but still have room for a thin jacket under it if needed. The side panels and the inside liner is made of cloth which is great for movement. The length is perfect, hitting me right below the waist line/at the hips. I was also pleasantly surprised that is was not super puffy! The zipper does go off to the side a little at the top which adds a little to the design.
Light weight and great balance of warmth
This product I didn't even need. But now that I have...im never takin it off. Been wearing it as a mid layer & been pretty happy. I love the hoodie on it & the zipper pockets. So warm. Looks great dressed up or down.
Propulsion Vest
I was so excited to get this vest in the mail! I had really never seen it in a store, so I kind of took a chance on ordering one, but I have literally LIVED in it since it arrived. It's first adventure was a morning of rowing with my crew on a cold Winter morning. Together with the Corbet skirt, it was the perfect layer, and I even used the hood for a bit. Later that day, the vest went for a run with me, keeping my head and body dry during a light snow storm. Again, the perfect layer! The following day, I took it for an early season ski tour at Mt. Baker. Again, I found it to be the perfect layer, and appreciated the hood in the cold. Thank you for creating a garment that is both super stylish and widely functional.
Never knew I needed a vest before this
My husband has been trying to talk me into buying a puffy vest for years, and I just didn't see the point until I tried this one on. It's so warm without constricting me like adding another sleeved layer. Pockets are handy. And it looks good. I wear it to work (PT clinic), around the house, and to walk the dog. I like it so much I bought both colors.
Home Run!
My husband got this for me as a gift, Love the color, styling, Smartwool quality. My closet is adorned with several Smartwool items,, because they are timeless and the quality is such that these clothing items are a smart wardrobe investment. Back to the vest, comfy, fits the bill for added warmth when needed.
Perfect layer
It fits true to size and adds warmth over a base layer. It's slim and stylish to wear post adventure, but the non cotton materials make it perfect as a staple active piece. Love it! (And the actual color was less pink then pictured in the online photo- a I'm so happy with it.)
Cozy, good length, stylish too!
This is a nice layer to wear indoors, I wear it to work and it looks a little dressier over less-nice tops. The zipper goes diagonal on the collar, which is a nice touch. It's a little on the big size, so if you'd like to be more fitted consider a size down.
cozy and comfy
This vest has a very attractive silhouette -very flattering without all the bulkiness of other vests I own. Can be worn with jeans or tights and it make me feel like I look great and keeps me warm at the same time.
Attractive, Lightweight, Good for Fall Daytimes
I can see wearing this for XC skiing, where your arms are free, with a long sleeve top. It's great for cool Fall days. I like the style which reminds me of vintage satin jackets from the 70s/early 80s.
