These tires came on my bike and after an initial ride of 31 miles with tubes, I changed it over to tubeless and couldn’t be happier. I ride trails, gravel, concrete, blacktop, over grown dirt roads and single track and this tire performs well through it all. I run pressure between 17 and 47 psi in back and between 16 and 38 in front. Wear looks good after 850 mixed miles. Rolling resistance isn’t an issue when ridden on the road, no problem riding and keeping up on RAGBRAI. I’m planning on buying these again when my current set wears out.
I'd agree with all the other high ratings for this tire and if you ride its a given that flats happen. Two days in a row with pressure at 60-62psi where max is 65psi have returned with a what looks like a tumbleweed thorn in the front; small hole easily fixed but 95% of the 50 miles in those 2 days was along black top or cement paths. Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Tempe bike lanes are litterted with debris! Have used Donnelly X'Plor MSO 50mm with about 20 extra miles and 70% extra gravel miles with no issues but those are tires on the ADV 3.1 and 10mm more surface area? Just putting out the personal experience...
I run these tires on all my gravel bikes. They’re perfect for loose over hard terrain which is what we have here in Socal. Also great for the desert in Arizona. They’re tough and roll fast.
It's bulbous and supple at the same time. I paid 50 dolla and it makes me holla!
These tires came on my Salsa Vaya and I have been very happy with them. I use them mostly on pavement for commuting and they aren't too noisy and roll very smooth on the raised center. Had to take them off as they didn't fit with fenders, but can't wait to put them back on in summer!
Purchased to beef up a 700c wheel set. Great traction with surprisingly low rolling profile.
These tires are VERY difficult to work with in terms of getting them on and off the wheel. After getting a puncture in the front tire recently I struggled for a good 10-15 minutes just to unbead it from the rim and then longer to get my tire levers in there so I could remove the tube. Never buying these again for sure.
Both beads fully set and variation in center line and height of tire varies well over 3/4 inch. Totally unacceptable.
I really tried to like these tires on my Ghost hybrid. Unfortunately they are out of round and at high speeds they deliver a ride similar to washboard.
Purchased two of these. Both tires out of round, one with a nasty wiggle as well. Both will be going back for a return.
