• Class 1 e-bikes provide motor assist only when you pedal, up to 20 mph.

• Class 2 e-bikes have pedal-assist up to 20 mph; they also offer throttle power that doesn't require pedaling.
• Class 3 provides assist when you pedal, up to 28 mph.

Consider motor power
Motor power is measured in watts (W) and range from 250W to 750W. E-bikes with higher watts offers better acceleration, climbing and hauling performance.

Consider battery capacity
A higher Wh number indicates greater battery capacity, which gives you more riding time between charges.
