I purchase these sandals a few weeks ago that were on sale, but there were some unexpected problems. The left heel strap was too loose and could not be tightened enough to secure my foot. In addition, the soles were "rocky". Instead of being a consistently smooth surface, there were indentations where the straps "thread" though the sandal were. This produced a rocking affect that did not feel secure to me. I have a 10 year old pair of Chacos that I love so much, I don't wear any other footwear for more than half the year. I wanted a back up pair, while I get my old Chacos resoled/refurbished.
Comfortable sandals with great arch support
Chacos are the best sandal I've ever owned. They are durable, comfortable and provide incredible arch support.
Does the job
Comfortable, robust, good grip. Initial blister from strap on side of foot, no problems after that Excellent product- bought for campsite use and doing the tourist thing in cities. I'd buy again
Fix the Strap
The tightening strap is way too long. I had to cut it to keep it from dragging on the ground. I cut it and melted the edges to prevent fray. The sandal fits fine and feels great, but the strap is a nuisance. This is my second pair of Chacos and I did not have this problem with the previous pair.
