  • Twin pack includes 2 filters, two 16 fl. oz. reusable squeeze pouches, 2 cleaning syringes and 2 drinking straws
  • Hollow-fiber membrane offers a high flow rate; sip on the Mini like a straw and it filters the water while it's on the way to your mouth
  • Get down close to the stream or lake and use the filter to drink straight from the source, or fill your water bottle and insert the filter to start sipping
  • Filter will also fit the threads on the included Sawyer 16 fl. oz. reusable pouch that you can fill at a lake or stream and then use to squeeze water through the filter
  • 0.1-micron filter physically removes 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as salmonella, cholera and E.coli; removes 99.9999% of all protozoa, such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium
  • Use the included syringe to backflush the filter to maintain a high flow rate
  • Filter will also fit the threads on most bottles of water that you buy at a grocery store; can also be used as an inline filter (adapters and hoses not included)
  • Avoid freezing this filter; freezing may ruin the hollow-fiber membrane

Rated 4 out of 5 by from probably worked Our first time using the black filter side detached from the body of the filter, and the second straw leaked into our clean water container. Test at home before becoming stranded in the mountains. VERY convenient to hook up to a SmartWater bottle and use to filter stream water. Loved the pack weight and size, didnt take up any room. Great price point for the simplicity of the item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from light weight but takes effort to fill in lakes I have used this filter on 3 packpackjng trips so far. The filter is light weight. It dose take up more space with filter and the squeeze water bag in my small backpack than I liked. There are two major issues for this product. #1: The squeeze bag is very hard to fill in enough water when used in lakes. Since it tends to stay flat, there is no pressure to push water in. So I had to push the bag out forcefully to make enough cavity then dip it into lake many times to get it filled for more than 10oz os water. The bag is great when I used it under a vertical flow of creek or waterfalls. #2: The squeeze. My hands and arms were tired to squeeze the bag. You have to roll the bag down, otherwise, the water would be squeezed upward and not get into your bottle. Try it with many mosquitos around you in the backcountry. Also, I tried to use a 2L platypus bag with the filter. The thread did not match. Water leeked through.

Does this come with the materials necessary to create an inline system in a hydration bladder?

There are many ways to integrate this filter. A squeeze bag is best. Carrying unfiltered water in a reservoir will eventually make it taste like a dirty aquarium. Whatever you do, make sure you can still remove and backflush the filter every day or two, otherwise the flow will stop.
