  • This 8 in. pan is pressed from the same hard-anodized 6063 aluminum that Sea to Summit uses in the X-Pots, which creates a very light and stiff structure
  • The weight is cut down further by integrating the handle hinges into sections of the rolled edge and eliminating the edge from the rest of the pan
  • Rigid, noncorrosive stainless-steel handles fold out for use and tuck down for transport; the handles have heat-resistant silicone grips for nonslip lifting
  • The 2.8-liter X-Pot (sold separately) locks inside the 8 X-Pan with a friction fit
  • X-Cups, X-Mugs and X-Bowls (sold separately) can nest inside the X-Pan
  • For use on a backpacking or camping stove only; not for use on a campfire or open flame
  • Do not wash in a dishwasher

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea, horrible pan I was super excited to see that the x-pan and the 2.8L x-pan packed nicely together. Other than that, there is nothing good about this pan. I used it for the most basic thing—eggs. I put a ton of oil and the eggs just stuck right on the pan. I tried stir fry, same thing. The worst thing about it is that the handles don't allow you to hold the pan and scrape food out (unless you have someone hold it for you). For the price, I expected so much more. Avoid this pan like the plague!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pan I started using this pan last spring and have found it to be a great addition to my kitchen gear especially for backpacking trips with a group of 4-6. I usually pack fresh vegetables to sautee for the first couple of dinner meals. I use olive oil and they never stick. I also like to make fried biscuits for breakfast, again no sticking problems when I use parkay liquid margerine. For my southwestern theme dinner I warm flour tortillas and add Spanish rice, and refried beans.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wakey-wakey no eggs and bakey I bought this excited that I'd finally be able to scramble a few eggs in the morning. As others have pointed out, the surface isn't non-stick and eggs make a mess that takes a good soak and scrub to clean. I do like the size and light weight. The silicone handles stay cool. I think it'll do ok for other things with some generous pre-cook olive-oiling. But no morning eggs and bacon, dagnabbit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticking Eggs stick making clean a pain, oo or butter did not help, did not try deep frying?! Probably okay for car camping, omit when water and food scrap disposable are at issue
