Easy to set up

I’ve only set this up in my garage but, it’s easy and straight forward. Seems lightweight and durable

Does it work, yeah sure, is it portable...??

Walking in with this thing is a nightmare, you can do short approaches with it and or longer non technical ones but this thing sticks way out of your haul bag. The setup I do completely differently than what is in their documentation (I setup the far side of the ledge width wise before connecting the long sides, otherwise it is almost impossible to do this with a single person); setup is not really that bad for the ledge though. Now setup with that deluxe fly... you might as well build your own ledge and fly up on the wall instead of trying to tackle this feat... It can be done but is a pain...

No, I do not recommend this product

Good ledge

This ledge has worked very well on big walls. I have the simple fly for it which did a great job weathering a spring storm high on el cap that included very high wind speeds and hail. It is very comfortable for two people, I have had some of the best sleeps of my life on it. The complaint I would have is that it is extremely difficult for one person to setup.

Cliff Cabana Double ledge

This ledge is awesome! After you practice a few times on the ground it goes together pretty straight forward when your hanging from the wall. Spreader bar was a little tricky hanging the first time. I gave it a 9 because it is on the heavier side compared to other double ledges but the size and comfort are worth the extra weight.

Spacious, durable, and heavy.

The Cliff Cabana is the Cadillac of portaledges. It's YUUUGE! I'm 6'4" and it fits me very comfortable. The reason that I sold mine for a different brand is the weight. The benefits of being slightly larger than competitors is quite literally outweighed by it's size. Coming in at almost 20 pounds this portaledge is a whale. Like everything in life, it is a trade off. If you want the extra space then go for the Cliff Cabana. It won't do you wrong. The craftsmanship is top notch, this thing is durable. It will hold up to the worst that mother nature will throw at you.

Heavy/hard to assemble

It’s heavy compared to modern ledges. The spreader bar and side bars like to bend so I can be insanely hard to assemble without a hammer.

Home in the sky

Over the past ten years I have spent at least 100 nights in a cliff Cabana Portaledge. Its has been the key to may big wall projects. Its a belay ledge, a comfortable place to sleep in the vertical world, and most importantly, it gives my mind and body a way to rest. It's easy to set up and has all the right features. After years of use I can honestly say it is very hard to kill. I don't know what my life would look like without my Cliff Cabana.

great features

I bought this a month ago, and I am very happy with the product, it's not heavy and it's not hard to setup (it's a myth of those who are not climbers), like I said, highly recommended. After this portaledge, I don't have any special wishes.

Yes , I recommend this product

BOMBER

I have used these ledges all over the world on the most demanding big walls. Most recently in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, they take a beating with a smile. BOMBER.

Transformative Experience

I didn't buy this to climb the nose of El Cap. I bought it for picnics and overnighters in the local canyons. My kids think it's dope. Worth every penny.
