Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect commuting pant for men AND women! I commute in Portland, Oregon. In the winter, it is wet and dark. The waterproof-ness of these pants is fantastic (water just beads up and rolls right off), and the reflective detailing is good for peace of mind. Beyond that, the articulation in the knee allows you to actually ride your bike and have the pants stay put down around your ankles. The ability to adjust the lower legs with the velcro tabs is nice, too. Showers Pass definitely put some actual cyclist-minded thought into these! My only request about these pants would be to REI: Showers Pass sells these as a unisex item. I special-ordered an XS for myself and would appreciate if REI expanded the sizes they carry in this particular item so women realize it's a great pant option for them, too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but tight Really liked the look and feel of the pants. Exactly what I was looking for and ordered online with annual coupon. I am 5'8" 165lbs. Normally 32 waist. These were way too tight in the hips, could squeeze them on but barely. The material is not stretchy which is normal for wind water proof pants but that meant uncomfortable when super tight. A medium is also around 33 inch length. I wear a 29-30 inch length. I do like a little extra legth with cycle pants so when knees are bent pedaling my ankles stay covered. However, these were made specifically for skinny tall guys not stocker built shorter guys. The pants also have minimal room to layer up even if they fit in the waist and were not ridiculously long so that sucks too. Minnesota is cold and layering is a must. Really too bad but will have to return them to the store when I get down to the Twin Cities later this month....forced me to try another brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Showers Pass Transit Bike Pants - Men's Constructed well. I had to get an XL to fit over regular pants but the XL is a little too long. They work great while I am riding, and are easy to get on and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cycling pants I use these pants for bike commuting on rainy days as well as in the winter. They are very well built and sturdy. the double velcro on each leg cuff do a great job keeping the pants out of chainring/cranks. If you are planning on layering over street clothes, go up a size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for tall people Almost always I need to buy the 'tall' version of clothing because I have a 34in inseam. My main focus when looking for rain pants was length. These pants are long enough to protect my ankles from the rain. Besides, the length, the Velcro which adjusts the leg opening is a good feature. The one thing I don't like is the lack of pockets; you can't access your pockets while wearing these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof cycling pants - 34" inseam I'm happy with the fit, but needed to shorten the length. Fits over my work pants when commuting on rainy days, keeps me dry without overheating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for a while I purchased this product in anticipation of a few rainy days on the Challenged Athletes Foundation Million Dollar Challenge this past October, 2016. I am a wimp. I live in Southern California and we loose about 5 weekend days a year to rain. I get cold quickly when wet or in temperatures below 55 degrees. When it is wet, or even a little moisture on the road, we do not ride. Not an option on the MDC. Day two we left Santa Cruz in a light sprinkle. I had the Showers Pass pants, a high quality rain jacket and "waterproof" booties on. I mentioned to another rider that I was bulletproof. There was intermittent rain on the run to Moss Landing. I could tell I was getting wet at all three covered areas. Through Monterey, and around Spyglass on the way to Pebble Beach, it was blowing hard, 25+ mph and a heavy rain. Like 6 mph downhill with effort wind! At 44 miles, the lunch stop/SAG mercifully appeared. I got off the bike and hung it on the nearest SAG wagon. As I sat down, I literally visualized water droplets being squeezed out of the rain pants. I was thoroughly soaked. I poured 1/3 C of water out of each shoe in the SAG wagon. Did the Showers Pass rain pants keep me dry over the course of 6 hours of riding in heavy rain. No. What they did do was help keep me warm. I was not the slightest bit chilled while riding. And, I am a wimp. IF I had to keep riding to save the life of my child, I could have done it with the help of this product. Shy of a Navy Hardhat diver's suit, I am not sure anything would have kept me dry in those conditions. The Shower Pass rain pants will help you survive
