Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less Stress at the Airport The bag was great for keeping my bag safer from damage during air travel. It also saved my bag from having to go to "Odd Size Luggage" when checking in because it makes it seem like a normal bag. There is only one downside to this bag and that is that it is VERY cumbersome. I have a 65L Osprey Ariel pack and when it's full it's about 45-47 lbs. I am 5'3" and in relatively good shape. When I put my pack in the bag I could not carry it using the backpack strap and had to mostly drag it on the ground if I had to walk too far with it. I would still recommend it, you just have to be smart about timing when putting your pack in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Traveling with the Osprey airporter I recently purchased 2 Osprey Airporters from the Knoxville REI for my son and myself. We used them to travel to Denver by air to hike and camp in the Rock mountain national park. They are a excellent fit for our back packs. We placed our back packs in first empty and then filled the rest or our gear, trekking polls. sleeping bags, fly rods, close food, camp stove(no fuel) close and so on. The strap and handle made moving thru the airports easy. We made it there and back with just the to bags. No problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More useful than I thought it would be I have an Osprey Atmos 65 and it fits into this bag perfectly when my pack is fully loaded, and I can also stuff in my size 14 Lowe hiking boots so I don't have to wear those clunkers on the plane. I've also started using it as a duffle bag when I go car camping. I can get three sleeping bags and pads in there plus my clothes for an overnighter. The only reason it didn't get five stars is that the one strap doesn't make it super easy to carry through the airport. I put my pack in at the very last moment now so no big deal and it's durable and protected my gear and like I said, more useful than I thought it would be.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea.... I bought this for my trip to Iceland to put my Osprey Aura 65 in. It's great quality, love the idea... but it fell short (for me). Or maybe I'm just too short for it. I'm 5' 4" tall and the ONE strap on it was so long that when I had it over my shoulder it was smacking me in the back of the calves. And then the size, it is just way too big for a 65L pack in my opinion. Yeah, it's great if you want to pack all sorts of other stuff around your backpack inside this bag, but if not, your backpack will be flopping around all the extra fabric. I ended up having to drag it through each and every airport I went to. It simply did not work for me. Like I said, great quality though. Even though I dragged it on the ground everywhere, the fabric held up. In fact, it doesn't look like it was ever dragged. I also appreciate the large opening with a very long zipper, makes it easier to get it on and off your backpack. I will be returning this product, I simply do not want to be dragging it everywhere. It would be nice to have two backpack style straps for easy carrying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits the bag Purchased to transport my Osprey Aether AG 60 on aircraft and also to store bag when not in use. Keeps all the loose straps in one place. Material is ripstop and the handles work well. The single shoulder strap detaches on one side and stores in a handy pocket. This is a bag to store and transport your backpack, not a backpack to carry your backpack. Easy to put backpack in and take backbag out of Airporter if you need to carry your backpack a long distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for 58Liter pack Worked well when shipping my tent, loaded pack, hiking poles and then souvenirs to/from my last trip. Durable, easy to fold up into it's own pocket for storage when on the trail. Carry strap stows quickly and easily when you arrive at the check-in counter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice size but why not a backpack style strap??? I was excited to get this cover for my bag. However, I didn't realize how uneven and long the strap was until it arrived. I think two straps to wear it like a backpack would be a lot easier to carry. Other than that I thought it was dependable going through as a checked bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accessory I was hesitant to buy this but now I am very glad that I did. Not only will your bag fit perfectly inside but it will also have plenty of space for other things to transport as well. Excellent at protecting your bag, a worthwhile purchase.

Is this size (M) the best for international air transport of my Atmos 50 AG fully loaded with the top zip-off pouch that contains the rain cover? I noticed that the S size is rated up to 50L but not sure it would be best for my pack fully loaded.

Asked by: trekker48
The medium Airporter LZ will be a good choice for your fully loaded Atmos 50.
