NIce jacket but runs big

Nice jacket but runs large. I wear small/medium so ordered a medium to allow for layering though it was swimming on me. Order a size down. I will be returning this one for a small. Also, no thumb holes if that is important to you.

Lightweight but still warm.

I've been wearing this on it's own or under my rain jacket or puffy vest. It keeps me warm without getting that overheated feeling I have when wearing fleece or rain jackets. Smartwool is happy. The only drawback is the sleeve length. I'm normally a 12-14, but find I need XLs instead of L when shopping at REI. As a result the sleeves are excessively long... like past my fingertips long.

2 jackets, both got holes in unstressed areas

Ordered for insulating ski wear. Wore for a 4 day trip and noticed after that holes were developing on the upper arms. Not in areas of heavy wear or friction. Customer service replaced the product and it was work around town and for sideline duty as a soccer mom. I've noticed the same defects have appeared.

Thank you for reviewing the Women's Propulsion 60 Jacket, but we are sorry to hear about your experience here! Thank you for sending it back our way the first time, so we can see what might have happened during manufacturing to cause these holes. We encourage you to send the other one back to us as well, as there might have been a more general issue with the production of this piece! Regardless, we are on it, and in the meantime we hope you still consider Smartwool in the future!

everyday wear in winter

I bought this for my wife - she said - don't get too expensive. Now she loves it!!!! She tells me over and over - I love this!! And i am so glad you got it for me. She wears it a lot - shopping, and out and about in the winter. Warm, but not bulky.

Lovely light sweater

I am 5'4" and 110 lbs and I ordered an XS. It is just big enough for me to wear a t-shirt and another light long sleeved shirt underneath. This is a lovely sweater - I ordered the purple, great colour, but it is not as warm as I thought it would be. I would give it 5 stars if it also had the insulated panel on the back side as well. I'm not wearing it for working out or exercising, but rather around the house and out for errands etc. I would recommend the sweater, it's very well made like all Smartwool products, but it is not super warm!

Last year's jacket in grey - very nice

I'm not big on shopping and tend to keep things for a long time. This is very cozy jacket - I just purchased it--last year's style in light grey--to replace my favorite worn out run jackets of another brand which gave me 10 yrs of good wear (they were made of very comfortable durable fabric). I had a hard time finding the comfort, breathability, relaxed fit-not clingy-fabric that didn't feel like I was putting on a straight jacket. THIS one works!! Love the pockets inside the vest too. I hope to wear this on cool days and indoors as an added layer in the winter. My only big concern and reason for 3 stars, is the mat'l used on sleeves is showing signs of "piling" after only 2 short wears - I fear that they will wear out fast for the $ of this garment and doubt I will get 10 yrs of wear on this jacket.

Smartwool Jacket

Love this jacket. Keeps me warm when the New England Spring weather does not feel quite like Spring and the Merino wool does keep out the cold during wet weather.

Perfect for in-between seasons where need something to keep chest warm, but able to let the heat go from the back. Washes great. Super soft on the skin.

Cute but painful zipper

I got the purple in XS and it fit perfectly and was very cute but the whole zipper dug into my body and was painful. I do have sensitive skin but I don't usually feel the need to return something because of the zipper. So I sadly returned it. Perhaps others won't have an issue with the zipper like I do in which case I would highly recommend it but it was too uncomfortable for me, particularly given this is something casual that I would want to lounge around in.
